Indeed I was avoiding you. Rather sacrifice myself than punting you and spoiling your race (as long as I could avoid it...). At the time I thought you had brake tested me and that had provoked my kamikaze excursion... I wasn't too happy about it. I checked the replay later and saw you braked spot on at the 100 metres mark ... No hard feelings .

Not sure about the horsepower (possibly yes, although the Aston is well served) but I was with wing 1.
I know you wouldn't have done that on purpose and, indeed, you didn't do it at all yesterday... These cars are so big that it is not easy to see the brake marks when following someone and, in the heat of the race, I couldn't possibly think I was wrong .

 

I watched the replay after the race and i saw Jos was really trying to avoid you John, i can confirm Jos is a true clean racer, i watched many of his replays and never did dirty moves..
But of course you dont need me to mention that, you know it already, i just saying

Too bad for Laurent he couldnt finish his race, on the first 2 laps he was closing the gap quickly as i tried to warm up my tires and i did some mistakes, I believe we could have a good battle.
I really enjoyed the battle of Tim and Mark, very close and clean one too

Edit.. My wing setup was at 3 and i could manage to have a top speed of 264 km/h.. That BMW is very powerful indeed.

 

Thanks for your kind words Vasilis and for watching my videos! I can make mistakes as everyone but would never dare to gain an advantage unfairly which I believe applies to the overwhelming majority of drivers in SRO and thus, why we keep racing and having fun here.

Yeah, the corner where I went a bit off track there is where you were slow the lap before, I tried to push to make a pass if you would do the same, but I was a tad too fast there. Congrats with your P2.

I have no clue what wings I had, I never tried to setup in ACC, just take the aggressive setup.

 

That was really hard work and never as many moments as i was doing leading up to this in practise. Tried a number of different cars but liked the nimble go-kart like handling of the Maclaren in comparison. Realised right before Qually that i was carrying double the fuel so was happy with my time in the end.

Enjoyed the race which was always going to be more about just getting to the finish.

I was on 1 wing in the Chevy. Its a bit of a brute of a car (and ugly!) but at least it sounds like a race car inside the cockpit. Some of the GT4 class sound like Dyson hoovers - very un-inspiring to race with. i do like this GT4 class though, the cars seem very well matched, yet each has its own character and i like the way they move around a bit rather than on rails like the GT3's. Shame it doesnt attract an even bigger grid as a full field of these would be very energetic.

Great pace by Simone in the Merc, even in that image above he already has a lead of several car lengths on the first straight!

 

I am really strguling GT4 to make a solid pace. I punted Audi in last corner during silly defending position, too late too brake and really rookie mistake and found my car punted Audi. I apoligize Laurent. Really sorry.

 

The Chevy has by far the best sounding motor (Pure American muscle) and i was really tempting to pick it, but i feel it a bit heavy.. The Maze has a great sound too, but i cant pick it - yet - because i am still learning.. As you mention, some of the cars are un-inspiring to drive and i am one of those who really paying big attention on how an engine sounds (thats why i am driving a Honda vtec )
At the start on the first straight, Simone caught me in sleep , i was looking at my car radar and circuit map ( i have disabled back mirror) and he managed to get an advantage.. Even that i could never be able to catch him, his pace was 2, or 3 seconds per lap faster than mine.. Alien.-
