The worst season has just come to an end, at least for me.
The number of unforced errors per lap run starts to exceed 1.
Number of unfavorable coincidences and missed opportunities in an upward trend. Morale is falling.
    Thus...
At this point, I let go

... but do not be happy ;)
    I will come back:D

Has there been any further development on this? Just curious about the decision.

No protest has been received and I did not state there would be -1 Lap penalty for this particular race in pre-race chat, as I believed it had been resolved following the last race.

Please let's not get into an accusational mentality at every race. Penalties should be the exception, not the rule.

What's the point in giving out a penalty like that in the first place then? I honestly don't see a point in racing if drivers are allowed to do what they want and get away with causing incidents that affect so much of the field.

So therefore, I'm submitting *this* as a protest...

Ken: Please automatically check lap 1s. Most leagues do and it would really help avoid situations like this. Also, that sarcastic post was unnecessary.
Maddie: I'm sorry, because you're clearly right, but Ken's also right. If you wanted it penalised, you should have reported it. Also, please keep the arguing to private chats. Again, I'm sorry.

Don't really see a reason for not investigating turn one pileup's automatically but you do whatever, Ken. The driving standards aren't going to improve at all and it's clear that you don't want them to because you've now overlooked two major incidents.

And drivers must serve a drive-through if they've caused an incident according to THE RULES. Are we going to ignore this as well?

That is a very unique corner and one that is very high risk attempting a side by side turn. It's typically a one racing line turn, especially on lap 1. I'm always surprised to see drivers attempt it as it rarely succeeds in open wheel sim racing. Even if a protest was filed in time most likely it would have been ruled a racing incident.

Racing incidents imply that both drivers can take a significant amount of blame for causing an incident. This was rather one-sided.

Correct. We are here to facilitate a free and open racing environment. We do the best we can to create, host and judge the outcome of events. And if time allows we participate. All for free. If you have a problem with how we operate, take it offline please.

I thought LAP 1 INCIDENTS IN EAU ROUGE were going to be heavily penalised? This was a new thing posted by admin themselves. Shouldn't need reported if we ALL saw it and knew it happened!

Did an admin say this was going to just apply to the next race then forget about it? Not that I can see. The next race was F3's.... much slower and easier to navigate Eau Rouge. We haven't even got back to the F1's, where this new policy was originally introduced. "rather than changing the rules" which makes the "remember ticking this box" message irrelevant because this policy wasn't in the rules we agreed to.

I think this is a healthy conversation to have out in the open rather than hidden in private messages. Drivers and admins need to be on the same page if everyone is to be happy about racing in this series and beyond.

You can have a healthy debate and continue on. But when people start getting out of line and have a problem with an Admin and try to publicly disgrace them, that is not acceptable.

You all raced here long enough to know this rule.

According to the video you posted, your car was trailing, inside and off the racing line. You thought trying to go though Eau Rouge in that position, side by side with another driver was low risk? And now you say you won't assume any blame for causing the incident.

    Did you consider the same?

There will be no penalty for this incident and no need for further discussion.
