Yes of course as long as the discussion is civil and respectful. But be advised that SRO has the right to a final ruling as it relates to what is considered a safe overtaking maneuver. Some special circumstances will apply, such as at Eau Rouge. I'll just say up front, trying to go through that corner with your front wheels half way down the side next to the driver of the other vehicle, is never a good move at that specific corner and is very high risk. Common sense and sound judgement applies to all of our rules and SRO reserves the right to make judgements based on common sense interpretation.
I was ahead going into the corner though, and kept fully to the right whilst giving Gert-Jan space to the left. I'm absolutely puzzled as to why I'm still being partly blamed for this.
...and Maddie was on the racing line AND up the inside of the other driver. Cars can make it two wide through there.... if both parties WANT to. If rules are just made up on a race by race basis then what is the point? Need some consistency if drivers are to know what to do! The rules shouldn't be open to interpretation. They should be clear enough so it is easier to judge incidents black and white, no grey areas.
Also.... an admin ruling a random rule because of incidents in Eau Rouge... then doesn't feel like enforcing or mentioning that it wasn't in place for the upcoming race, doesn't really give drivers transparency.
