Who would like to do rFactor 2 DTM 1991? I recently discovered an outstanding rFactor 2 mod: DTM 1991. I can honestly say that it's as good as any Studio 397 mod, if not better. The mod has been developed by a former race car driver, so he should know how it must feel There are 5 cars. Each car has it's own sound and physics. It's pure classic racing without any aids. Cars in the mod: - Audi Quatro - Mustang - BMW - Opel Omega - Mercedes It's a DLC and costs € 15,- Well worth the money. Download link: DTM 1991 If we can get 15 members to commit to this, we will do a series with it on Wednesday's in May and a bigger series on Sunday's in September. That's a lot of racing for the prize of 2 pizzas.
Hi John, Tremendous mod. Really impressive. I've done a couple of promo videos. Starting with Avus (Nordschleife following soon).
Great demo Jos. Looking forward to the next one! I really enjoy watching video's with that mod. Isn't it great that each car has its own personality and sound? And isn't the sound incredible? And the driving is just 5/5
Great drive Jos. Those AI are not hanging about, are they? What are your impressions of the mod so far?
Initial impressions are good, John. An excellent mod. I've been running an AC series with the DTM at simracing.org.uk (driving the ford sierra) and I'm also starting another series there in R3E with the DTMs (Audi V8). This gives me a good background for comparison. The rF2 mod is the most solid one so far. Cars feel more clearly on the tarmac and provide more immersion than the other two (although they are also great, both in AC and R3E). I've only tested the default setup in rF2 though, which I think is quite conservative. I haven't pushed the car to its limits yet so I'm missing important aspects of the mod but I don't need more convincing for this one. Very glad of purchasing it. I'll give more details and additional demo videos as I'm going through the lot. Let's hope we raise enough interest in it and we get to run a good series with the DTMs. All the best, Jos
