I've also voted for the change. There are not many drivers in this series and we are already counting four with John. What we surely have is plenty of CanAm ready tracks...

A simple option, other than Road America as suggested by John, is to move on to the next track in the original series. Changing the server now would make anyone training/testing realise there is a change and could come here to see what's going on. That would keep Monday race with a track we were expecting, albeit in another two weeks, and would give us more time to choose an alternative if there is the relevant majority for the change.
    How does that sound?

    That could work. Anyone else?

Jos has a true good idea I think. As I said earlier, actually I didn't say explicitly but it's quite obvious to me, that the actual voting system doesn't really give its chance to the change : there is no dead line but we can't tell everybody 3 days before the race "in fact we're changing the track guys", there is no chance 11 drivers (we are 20 registered drivers if we take Caitlin off) to vote for this "last minute" change and the opposite way, to keep things as they were planned, doesn't even need some votes.

In fact, I even think we should have put a moratorium on the previous track, as most of us hadn't realised that would prevent some drivers to take part in this race due to the track we had to pay for. And we sadly were only 12/20 drivers in.

For this but I'd rather not wait another 2 weeks and would prefer to race this coming Monday. Could switch to Laguna Seca and run that on Monday and maybe add another race at the end of the season so it's still a six-race series?

I think that was the intention. Keeping the race schedule but jumping Donnington and gaining time to replace it later in the calendar...

The track change vote is at 7 now, 4 more and it's Road America.

Can everybody please test Laguna Seca and the other tracks to see if there are no problems of the same kind?

I tried Donington yesterday and and the FFB issues were not as bad as they were with the GPL cars. It's only on the last bump going into the downhill chicane that it is an issue. And if you stay on the left there there are less FFB spikes. I was more on the right once and it was quite heavy, lost control of the car and went off. So I would still race on Donington as the FFB isn't that bad on my end.

I will vote for a track change as Road America should be a lot more fun with this car then Donington.

Edit : I have been looking and I don't know where to vote..

No problem here with Laguna Seca. (On a side note : am I right to consider that we're not allowed to exploit the pit lane entry to enter this last tight turn ? What will be the rule exactly, an accidental 50% of the car width or something like that ? Because if we keep the general rule of "at least 2 wheels on the track" it still might lead to problems with the drivers needing to enter the pits..)

Will check the other tracks asap. :)

Road America is also a historic track where these cars have raced in the sixties.

I'll be honest, I don't rate the track as a very good conversion - But it works and is correct and period so will shut up (At least we don't have Lime Rock :D )

I'm talking Laguna Historic here before I confuse things further. If we're considering the recent RA then I'm fully behind it as that's a fantastic job!

I hope we take the Lilski version then, I think the old version was still used?

1 more vote needed on John's post to go to Road America I guess. Not that matters too much for me, as I'll start some training from Thursday on.
    I'll wait what happens

We are on 9 votes to change (with 21 sign-ups). 3 more and the track will change to Road America.

John, there are 20 actual drivers, plus Caitlin to make the broadcast. Also, it's still the same story about democracy : in fact only the expressed wishes should count. If things were staying as they are now, 9 votes "ok" and 1 vote "no", it would be surrealistic to count it as a "no".
Still, as I'm not neutral because I can't race this track to prevent it from damaging my wheel, I leave the debate here.
