Hi John, I've just been on the server and am getting a warning that it's configured wrong. You've set a 32 car grid but Estoril only supports 30 - this may or may not also be the reason I wasn't in my own car while practicing
We've set a 24 car client limit. We have recently switched to a new game server hosting company and they use their own custom server manager software, which we are still getting our heads around. They have an update coming shortly which may fix this, but in the meantime it won't cause any problems. Your skin was only uploaded today and assigned to you, so you should get it now when joining the server.
I'm getting my excuse in early as it's quite a good one - I've had my first Covid jab this afternoon, so depending on how fast and nasty the side effects are for me I may be rubbish Or I might not have any.....
I think your main risk is to get a bit of a painful arm, particularly when trying to get your elbow above your shoulder. Ok I know we don't drive that way but still you might face a bit of pain, nothing that really matters but maybe a good excuse for being 1 tengh a lap less fast.. Still 3 seconds faster than me, but, well, anyway.. I got mine 1 week ago exactly. Was it Pfizer or Astra or.. ?
By the way the server session was quite dark once again at my end so I enabled "default_bright" in post-processing filters, if it can help someone else..
May not be racing this evening. Not feeling good at the moment. Just taken some meds so see how I am in an hours time. Sorry if i dont turn up especially as it looks like another low turn out. Not sure i understand why. The cars great. The tracks are great. What a differece a year makes. This time last year we were gettjng record grids for some races. Bring back lockdown thats what i say
If you are on Sol 2.1, I can speak for Stardust but it was dark for me when Weather FX was turned off in CSP at that track. With WeatherFX enabled it looked fine.
Didn't get a good start and I was swamped with cars flying past me. Came together with @Alessandro Tancioni and I think he went into a spin or half spin because of it. I decided I'd wait for him which meant giving up 2 places but it was the right thing to do even though I wasn't sure whose was at fault or even if anyone was at fault. So flat last now I had a couple of laps fight with @Alessandro Tancioni before getting past. Now I was in no mans land. I tried concentrating on consistent lap times and managed to get down to low 1:59's but it wasn't enough. The guys ahead were lapping slightly faster. So I had a lonely race until about 10 minutes to the end when I noticed @Alessandro Isacchini making a few mistakes. I'm guessing his tyres were shot. Annoyingly every time he made a slight mistake he seemed to recover and then simply pull away from me. Finally though he made too many slides and I got past him into 5th. At the end @Lorenzo Galluzzi must have been running out of fuel as I past him whilst he was running very slowly. So an unexpected and undeserved 4th place. Real shame about the small grid. On to Goodwood. That should be a good one. Well done to Matteo for the win and for the other podium places
All the race always on the edge of spin, but firsts 20 laps back Maxime and Lorenzo was for me incredibly good enough with my personal best, but after.. my car spin everywhere and return with "my usually uncontrollable car" and I started my show of never-ending of mistakes Great victory Matteo and compliments all!
That was great racing here, even if was a bit disappointed by my fastest laptimes and especially my qualif. One of the 2 Alessandro's (sorry not sure which one haha) was putting a serious pressure on me for about the 1st 1/3 of the race, and rest was me fighting at distance against Lorenzo, until he started doing some little mistakes I guess, I did one too, but it was at daggers drawn until the very end of the race. In the penultumate lap I was able to reach him and put a quite strong pressure I think, he went out in turn 8 unfortunately so that we didn't get our close fight. I think we were driving at our maximum, at least I was. I saw then in the replay that he seemed to have a problem with his stuff and quit the race a bit later. What happened @Lorenzo Galluzzi ? Both guys ahead were untouchable of course, congrats to them for their awesome pace, well done Matteo on your win ! I always wanted to run a 250 GTO series and still can only imagine and dream about it filled with 20+ drivers. This race with 24 drivers would have been anthologic. I definitely can't get why people didn't jump in.
Unfortunately hadn't put enough fuel in the car, i tried to save it as much as i could, but finally i had to retire. Anyway we had a nice chase! See you next one
Great race by my side, apart for the late braking at T1 Tim showed a great pace for the first 20 min or so, while I was coming back on him tenth by tenth recovering that couple of places lost at the start. After half an hour comeback was completed, and I had 6/7 mins of funny laps with Tim that was sliding around the track in front of me, occupying the entire track with his Fezza . A spectacle to watch, but I was in hurry at that time, eager to pass him . So after the 4th drifting last corner by Tim, I exploited my "straight" exit going side by side on the straight and pulling the brake on the outside at T1. The manouvre was succesful and the race was practically over, cause my driving style surely helped me to preserve my tires better than Tim in the last 20 mins or so, with him struggling to keep my pace. All in all a solid performance after that debacle in the Green Hell! A real pity for the low numbers, but this car seems bewitched for a champ, as Tim will probably remember @Jos Ogos where are you mate? We misss you! Come back soon my friend
