    Is server down or is it at my end?

    Very odd :confused: The server was still running a Qual session and showing Ed Jones in the timing, but stracker showed he was last on the server on 21st May. I've restarted it and got on OK myself, so you should be good to go now Kimi.

  6. Great racing with Sanio in the last couple of laps, but I’m not sure exactly what happened on the last lap as we both approached the second chicane at the end of the second straight. We were both braking heavily and late with me alongside him and on the inside. I made the corner and didn’t feel any impact with his car. To be fair, Sanio had the pace on me and up to that point I had set in my mind not to challenge too much and settle for second rather than throw it away trying to win, but I checked my mirror and he was stationary, still on the track, so I was going to ease up to let him back past when he set off again just in case we had touched, but he didn’t set off again, and within the next few seconds had disconnected from the server?

    @Chris Belfield

    do you know why I stopped there?
    Well, because you kept cutting corners. I noticed that at the very beginning. later I had a fight with others, you ran away for about 7-8sec and I didn't see what you were doing while I was catching you. when you were within my reach I saw you constantly cutting. I flashed you but you kept cutting. yes, and I cut behind you sometimes, just because I couldn’t believe someone didn’t follow the non-cutting rules so much.
    and when I overtake you, you tried to give it back to me by persistently cutting. that’s why I stopped there because I don’t want to win someone who doesn’t follow the rules, me and the organizer!
    look at the replay. you had over 55 cuts. up to 18 lap I had 2 intentional and 3 random cuts. after 18 lap when I saw you in front of me you cutting corners, yes and I cut here and there. all in all I may have 10 cuts. with the proviso that I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't seen what you were doing.
    so, I doesn’t understand why you drive at all if you don't want to follow the rules!

  9. Sanio, there were no deliberate cuts on my part, unfortunately I was simply overdriving the car and missing downshifts more than I have ever done before. However, even with cuts (however you interpreted them), you still caught me, so it didn’t really gain me any advantage and proves it’s not the quickest way round the track! You were still faster than me & I’d resigned myself to second place before you gave in!

    I see you didn't understand.
    it is a matter of pride. you are a bad driver who does not follow the rules.
    you are 69 years old and I don't believe anyone has ever behaved like this on the track. and trust me I drive simracing very very long time.
    this was shameful behavior from you.
    and yes, I am always fast. inform about me a little.
    you have to follow the rules. that way you respect all of us.

  12. :cool:You’re quite an angry man Sanio, you should calm down a little. It’s not real, it’s a bit of fun. Maybe you should keep that in mind before “quitting”. I’ll decline the offer to “research” you thanks, your history is of no interest to me. What hurts the most is.......you put 10 years on me! :p Have a great weekend.

  13. ......so here’s what this means to me. @Ken Jagger, please remove my results from the race altogether. It’s not important to me but it seems it is of massive importance to others. I’ve been on the receiving end of poor driving standards a lot, but you won’t find me bleating about it.

  15. I care not one bit what solution is applied as it’s not of great importance to me. But the inference that it was done deliberately by the few that are stamping their feet like spoilt children does say more about them than it does about me in my view. Let the admins choose what to do, quit whining and move on.

    joking grandpa.
    you just made me laugh. LOOOL
    during the race, as I didn’t know how old you before, I watch and don’t believe you are cutting the track. at first I thought, "well this must be some 12 year old kid". who has not yet figured out how to drive and follow the rules. I thought that when I overtake you, you would follow the rules, but I gave up when I saw you were still cutting.
    and yes, there are other fellow drivers on the track. which means they are fools because they follow the rules and do not cut the track.
    look man. I have nothing against you, just follow the rules from now on.

    I agree with you. Do you still remember your win in Surfer Paradise with that old Porsches on Automobilista? Well I do :D

    So that topic is not new and some kind of difficult. Especially, when you don´t get direct feedback from the game. If you have the sidekick app, then the colour of the displayed lap time shows if you left the circuit or not (white for ok, red for not so). My teammates and I trained first on my server, where your time gets deleted when you left the circuit, so we already tried to stay within the limit. So that helped to get a feeling for the limit, which was then more difficult on the race server. Probably a server setting that somehow hands out penalties would help, but that is not up to me.

    To my race, it was quite ok. I had difficulties repeating my practice times in qual, which resulted in a bad grid spot. I tried to pass Ken, I think I was a bit faster, but passing is really hard here. Later in the race, my medium tyres run out of juice, so I found no way around. It seemed that some drivers had problems with their fuel calculation. But I did not gain much through that.

    So now I am curious about the Sugo track, and I hope it has natural track limits.
    ;)

    Firstly if anybody is unhappy with another member's driving and wishes to point this out to them, then the proper way is to engage in private messaging with that person. Posting in the race Forum is not the way to do it and could be considered to be an unnecessary public attack on that person's integrity. That is not something we like to see here at SRO, so let's avoid it in future please.

    Secondly no Admin action is ever taken without either first-hand observation by the Admin of repeated, intentional rule breaking or alternatively a protest being raised in accordance with SRO Rule 1.1 https://simracingonline.co.uk/threads/sim-racing-online-racing-rules-and-regulations.126/
    If I read Sanio's latest comments above correctly, then it does not look like a protest will be raised. If so let's all move on to the next race with a positive, friendly mindset as alluded to by Flaviu.

    I agree, just make official protest and let stewards handle it. I find forums little rude place to start it. Just gives bad mood to everyone.

    it is not a problem to protest. but I am neither active in the league nor do I need this with you. but in my life I have not seen anyone break the rules so many times. because if someone writes there that someone has cut the track 55 times, then it is up to the judges to automatically check and sanction it. I don't care about points and that old driver because he's not able to respect the other drivers.
    and yes, it is clear to me that he is on your team and that you are protecting him in a certain way. he is also a donor, so everything is clear. if you pay, you are protected and you may break the rules. great organization!

    @Nigel Middleton
    do you see that? have we ever driven like that, is it driven like that? I don't think so!
    I see nothing has changed here. some who were evil are gone, new ones even worse have appeared. thank you but no thank you.

    I left here a long time ago, I see I won't be here again for long.
    you are losers here.
