This is what the boss had previously said :
"Yes, you may choose a new car for round 2 but the same rule applies. You must use that car for all 6 events. You are allowed 1 car change but you must have a good reason and be approved."

LOL Guys, Yes you are allowed 1 car change per series. upon admin approval with a reason as Larry has pointed out. In this situation ED you are fine to change cars. Although it looks like you unregistered? Ed has only raced in 1 event so he is no threat to the points leaders & this is his first request to changes cars in any series so it's been approved.

Eh too long a break from driving for me, driving was bad couldnt stay focused and setup was even worse. Was settling in 3rd but then I eventually binned it but kept driving, damange didn't seem to matter but when I pit I forgot to turn off repair and that took forever and I came out way back, anyway crawled back to 3rd.

    Congrats Mr. Ruskus.

I had fun. I'm still learning. I don't understand the part, after the pits the car is a different car. I changed tires. It became a overdriven drift machine after pits. It wouldn't stop, it wouldn't go, rear end would just pop out. Like the weight had been shifted to the rear. I've noticed the set of tires can go up to 50. I guess some people need 50 sets of tires. I'll learn this time goes by.

Yep, I pit, bumped up pressures a few clicks because my pressures were way down in the first stint. Came out and pressures went into mid 28s...
You came out in front of me but I noticed that your balance was off and that you had a hard time with it.

Johnny, did you tic the "use current pressures" tab under the fuel adjustment page in the setup menues? If not any adjustments you made during practice will revert to default.
Also, the tires are not up to temp out of the pits & need some time to heat up so if you push them to early before optimum tremps you stand the chance to cook them & then their toast for the long haul.

I also hit the 29's ! left front from my bad driving :D, knocked it down almost a pound on the stop & came out a bit squrilly until pressures came up, but I was all out a wack ..in the merc anyway lol

Nice race guys, The zand is always tuff! :D
There was an incident on lap one where a few cars went a bit wide into the grass in sector 1, one returned to the track with no issues where the other car actually caused a collision that dog piled 3 cars at the back of the field.
Assetto Corsa Competizione Screenshot 2021.06.13 - 00.01.11.31.jpg This falls under the category of unsafe re-entry & also contact on lap 1 and should have resulted in a drive threw from the offender.
No official protest has been filed, so consider this an admin warning & remember the rules! and as always, keep it clean.
( I won't show the end result of the above pic'. Those involved know what happened)

Another great race last night, mostly thanks to the close attention of my regular sparring partner Simon! We seem glued at the hip at every race meet lately :p
Qualified 5th or 6th, pipped at the death by Mark Elkins.
At race start the annoying Shark Gymer got up alongside through the first corners and I understeered off at t2/3 allowing him past. That almost proved decisive as I was then stuck behind him for most of the 80mins of the race! I did get past him twice but he got back by, once through a good move and second time when my car just understeered off on worn tyres at the flying mid sector. I was being careful with my fuel the whole race as knew it was borderline with that fast bugger Jeff up front as it might mean an extra lap. Luckily he was so dang fast most of us had one less lap to do! :D
But didn’t know that during the race so from the 1hr mark until about 35mins remaining I was trying to save a bit of fuel every lap and thankfully found I could still sit on Simons rear bumper for most of the lap, which gave me a free draft up the straights and meant I could coast a bit under braking more than if I was in fresh air. It felt very ‘endurance’ to keep watching my fuel consumption go up or down depending how I attacked the lap or eased off a tad. :)
We nearly finished 3rd and 4th but a recovering Sander on fresher boots recaught us in the dying minutes and stole 3rd from me with only 2 mins on the clock :(
Finished 4th :) not bad as the Aston isn’t the quickest car at Zandvoort.
JR and Santos? were in a league of their own up front, very fast.

Very happy over qualifying above Mark and Simon, very surprised with that but knew i wasnt really in the race. I only have one speed, this is my first real endurance racing and prefer to run light and change tyres if just ensuring i get to the end. The extremely hot conditions on track also swayed me into sticking with this and the lack of real consistency i had here.

Busy start but could tell both Astons behind were taking it easy .Annoyingly hit the kurb at the fast right kink out the back and spun resulting in both getting by but could catch them back up so decided to head to pits a bit early but obviously it dropped me back quite a bit. Coming out i saw blue flags, slowed to let the car past into the first corner only to see it was for position! Roger gave good defence until he pitted, not sure you needed to brake mid corner in the last, and give me a heart attack as i was lining up for draft down the straight!
I could see Christian up ahead in the Porsche about 25-30secs ahead, was just hoping to close the gap a bit at the end but slowly the gap was coming down. I was also monitoring the gap behind to Jeff to lap me, hoping he wouldnt lol. Crossed the line right behind the Porsche! lol. Fun chase in the end.

So have you guys been turning the power down to limit your fuel consumption or just trying to drive to a time?

Hey admin team - sorry to be late - but I definetly wanted to speak up here. I do not have a problem with the unsafe re-entry as long as the driver keeps up with our drive-through rules. In that case - its already stated - the drivers will definetly know what happened - but I also want to point out one incident a few laps later involving same driver(s).
Sorry to be asking (very likely) a stupid question, but I could not figure out how to report drivers after an event properly?

I would be happy to help, in order to have save a clean racing for everybody
, this means for me that my report may help us that drivers at least try to respect the 1st lap zero contact rule. It wasn't the first time for me, when the back field is passing incidents, that drivers rejoining do not take too much care.

To sum it up, I had a nice race after all, with great head to head racing, unless lap1 incident.
    Cheers Christian
