Sorry Vasilis. I think it might have been Jeff too. Honestly, I need to sort out the HUD transparency cause it's quite see-through at the moment, so things like the radar are not hugely visible which is annoying to say the least!

It was all a bit disoreintating coming out of the pits and not having the displays and HUD stuff in the same place I'm familiar with on my triple monitors so I was a bit unprepared for actual racing with other people lol. I had done a load of practice with AI and on my own too, but still, it's not the same as real people!

Just out of interest guys what VR headsets are you using? I'm on the Oculus CV1, running on a 7700k and a 980ti and have managed to get a decent picture quality running pretty smooth. It took a lot of playing with though.

Lenovo Explorer, i59960k, GTX1070ti. I know it is just a low VR set. And it is clear my system will not run ACC in VR at decent graphic settings. Still, in AC and rF2, I'm very pleased with the performance and image. With the only amend about blurred distance view. This is what I don't like at all. Up close, everything looks great, dash board, wheel, buttons. Even when you step out and looking at your car. Beautiful

Yeah AC looks fine, but even the dashboard in ACC is blurry as is all the text as soon as you get into the cockpit.

i was on an Oculus Rift S. @James, the S is way better than the old cv1, worth picking up even a 2nd hand set if you can.
There are two key settings under VR in ACC for improvement, but its been ages since i touched them so cant remember. One is the pixel density, ramp up to 105, 110% and see how your rig fares, other was world sclale? or similar, drag that down to 80%. I know a combo of the two gave me a decent balance between sharpness of image and still able to run reasonably eye candy. I'll have a look later. Just think ACC is poorly optimised for VR users.

yeah it was resolution scale, try bringing that down to 90%, then increments down to 82% i think. Whilst pushing up pixel density to first 105% then try upto 110%. Also reduce Car Lods res to about 85%. I also set view range to mid, mirrors to low with a range of about 110m. Think they were the heavy hitters of fps, but i only have a 1080gfx card with a strong i9 cpu so see what works for you. Foliage and textures can also be lowered and wont really be noticeable in VR.

Yeah done all that Mark thanks.
I have the Oculus Quest 2 on max resolution from the Oculus app so pixel density doesn't really do much other than slow the framerate.
Been fiddling with the engine.ini that others have recommended, but ultimately this game is just a blur fest really, which is a shame as it looks awesome on triples.
Will do some more engine.ini fiddling at the weekend hopefully, but there's only so much faffing around I'm prepared to do with it before giving up.

no worries, yes looks awesome on triples which is why i stumped up for the curved 32's in the end and love them. I just couldnt stomach the fuzzy visuals in ACC VR.

  12. If you want a VR headset with good resolution, go for the HP reverb G2. Not sure if it will fix the blurry stuff in ACC, but it has an amazing resolution.

the primax 8k is the daddy of VR headsets at the moment i believe, with 4k resolution per eye, but its spendy at 1k +. I'm happy to sit VR out for a while until the next gen of VR headsets comes along. Only a matter of time.

Yeah the pimax is expensive, plus then you need to spend 2k on a gpu to try and run it! Im happy with the cv1 at the moment, I can run it on my pc build quite nicely with some super sampling. Might look at upgrading sometime soon but then its a pc rebuild aswell. It is worth it though when you get it all running nice and smooth, after racing in VR I cant go back to a screen.

I'll try and post my VR game settings for the oculus in the next few days, it took a long time to get them dialled in and it made a lot of difference to the quality. Might help someone run acc better in VR.

Here's my acc settings for oculus cv1, 980ti, 7700k@4.2. 20210704_175819.jpg 20210704_175807.jpg 20210704_175741.jpg 20210704_175722.jpg VR pixel density should be 125 to 150 depending on how many cars you have. Hope this helps someone.
