I'm interested in this, as I loved the FR3.5 car when we last raced it. I won't sign up just yet, as I don't yet know if I'll get the time, but don't be surprised to see me on the entry list later on!

Hope you can make it Rui. You probably have even less time now that you are a family man :) I've been waiting a long time for a weekend open-wheel RF2 series and an extra treat to see Monaco on the schedule. Grid is starting to fill up.

Entered myself for this one. I haven’t raced a single seater in years on RF2 but I’ll do some running against AI and see how I go. Sunday’s are perfect as well.

Will we use the new Studio397 official Monza track on the first event?

No we will be sticking with the existing track from STEAM workshop. I'm not going to impose a purchase on members at this late stage.

In fairness I was expecting this anyway. No problem.

Nice surprise about this release as I was unaware that S397 were working on it.

If anyone is thinking of getting this track though, I do recommend it. However like Sebring it has huge amounts of detail which of course looks great but will put a strain on the PC hardware. It was ok on my newer PC but very stuttery on the old one, haha.

I wish people on social media would be nicer sometimes though, out of 20 comments on twitter almost all were nasty towards S397 about the new track, I wish people would just be more grateful sometimes, lol.

People are stupid nowadays, social media contributed to that "rant fest" everywhere unfortunately...

The car always wants to snap oversteer coming out of the second lesmo on power. It feels like the right rear loses traction and starts spinning. I don't use Motec, but it certainly feels like it.

Yeah, i've noticed that too, in the new Monza track that doesn't happen but you know... paid content.

Try not to be on throttle when doing that corner @John vd Geest ;)

Yes I’m finding that the Lesmo’s are the tricky corners for me at the moment. The comments on steam workshop are largely correct in my view. The very dark shadows need some getting used to at first as spotting the apexes and markers is tough (It took me quite a long time to get the apex right into Lesmo one) and there is a big bump in the middle of the Ascari chicane. If you catch it wrong it will launch you sideways and you’re in the wall. You can go flat through there and risk it or have a little lift to make the car stable.

I’m finding that it pays to be smooth with this car, you can attack under braking but sudden stabs of the throttle will just send you into a major tank slapper. Which is fine by yourself but in the excitement of battle I can see quite a few mistakes. This league may all be about finishing every race and scoring points.

Good advice. This Monza version is slippery in a few other corners too, but not as bad as the second Lesmo.
But I also have to learn how to modulate the throttle with this car. It's delicate.

I'm actually finding the entire track seriously difficult. I get very little feeling from the car for some reason, and it's almost uncontrollably twitchy on the brakes and midcorner. I don't know what to do about it really. I can't finish a one-hour race like this. The strange part is that I raced this car with SRO a couple of years ago and didn't have these problems. I don't know what's wrong.

Monza is a tricky track for this car, you need to race with the LDP or MDP and that makes this car less friendly... soft inputs and easy on throttle!
