there are 200 members registered but no one is signing up for races , can you all say why. i did a couple of races hoping the grid would increase, and check most days, but nothing
Its a puzzler for sure Roger. Why sign up for an online racing site and then not race? Could be they don't like rF2 or AC; or the race time; or the day of the week; or Wayne's Avatar puts them off! John has changed his race start times so the turnout for those that might indicate something (or not). Hopefully there are some other races coming up here soon which might stimulate things, only time will tell.
It is a mystery to me why we are not getting more race sign ups. There are more leagues going up over the next week if they are the right mods we will see. Why not have your say in this thread and help us out we will always listen to what you have to say and if possible make it happen. We want all members to have there say on leagues and club events.
I already did that.. as you know Did not work out as expected almost 1,5 months since r2p died .. and my views changed a bit (i'm talking about my personal views, and racing experience the last weeks) Strong leagues, with scores, with racing reports, and tight rules concerning acccidents, in a word... as much professional as they can be... this is the way.. at least for now (my opinion) Club events should come after.. they should be, i think, .. with friends.. competitive, yes, (all racing is).. but still with friends: just like the AMS race i did with John Lock Who wants to race with 3 other drivers, .. to see a race ruined.. (happens) ... and not a single word after the race? Professional leagues, bringing people with same interests together, form a comunity, have fun together My 2cents PS: i still believe in you guys.. and in this site.. carry on
Our rules are implemented when an offence on track has been reported as of scoring most of you if not all will know we have a programme in development and making very good progress but these software programmes take a long time to write like we keep saying it will be well worth the wait. Club events are there for drivers who don't want to commit to a league and are not premium members but that allows them to have 3 free club races per month.
Hey guys. I have to say I was happy to find out about this site; a lot of familliar names from R2P... ...that was my first impression at least... the more I went throught the site the more I felt a bit down...having say that I'll try to cheer up... But seriously, I mean, we have here mostly dedicated drivers; why on earth would you segment people by implementing a 'premium driver' insanity... You did a poll: that show guys here are willing to participate naturally...donc conclude you should implement a fee (that was the weak point about race2play..). but instead acknoledge that you have a strong dedicated community and just be transparent about monthly cost with like goal each month; and we will naturally participate... (the few that won't will eventually as they'll feel more and more part of the community...) This segmentation will eventually have consequence that I don't like...and since I'm looking for sim-racing community (whilch I'm already part of); and not part of a business plan... whilch If I were would be racing at iracing... Sorry about the communist rant ... Now about racing... I lot of driver still have old system that won't run rF2 or AC; They will make the switch eventually but one strong rF1 serie is still a must-have...maybe you already tried it but I don't see anymore of that and either way we should stick with it. One of the most popular series was WEC by simtek; make it a regular serie every week or two week...Availabale for everybody... see what's happen. I understand I might be saying this a bit late into the party... you might have already and genuily try mostly what you thought was best...and this kind of comment might sound pretentious, even a bit ignorant... but I least here's why I would (easily) stick here: no more 'premium' BS... very few but strong, recurrente serie in each platform... transparency of the cost and trusthing the community, if it's stick, they want to naturally participate...I know most would and already have... Enough of that... hope to see some of you on track...again.
Premium drivers is here to stay. If you dont want to pay that is your choice. Donations do not work and thats based on factual evidence. I am not going to be drawn into a debate on what you think should or should not be done here. There is a DRM league about to start on rFactor 1. Older sims will always have a home at SRO as they have done for the last 2 years. I am looking into doing a league on GT legends as well and we have ongoing talks about Race 07 and even maybe GTR2 so there will be stuff for you to race on with an older pc. As I have already said Premium drivers are here to stay. To try and say that people will not stay if they have to pay is just daft. Based on evidence of the fact that they do stay and more signup for it everyday. Please if you are going into a debate please bring evidence of what you have for your side of it. As I have said you have a choice to pay or not. There is no gun to your head. The community is strong here and its getting stronger and stronger with a super bunch of members and dedicated staff.
The point was missed but that's fine...not trying to make a debate...I was just trying to share and give some (personal) feedback...like was asked from you guys... At least we could agree everyone should be allow to tell how he see things...no matter how different it is from your conclusion...especially since you ask for it... You already have your mind up...and that's fine...I wish you all the best...trying along what seems right to yourself seems like a nice plan to follow. And to be fair...I could make a thousand page scientific memoire with referenced proof and study...that's it would not make a differnce...plus like I mentionned it wasn't the point. So, on an end note...looking forward to do some racing... wish you all the best.
See you on the black top. Pitty you don't have rf2 we could do with a French team for our naitions cup. Keep your ear to the ground
It finally feels like the transition to rF2 make sense...or AC for that matter, even if the later is less my cup of tea. But since I 'waited' this long and found out the recent rF1 content to be particularly enjoyable; blancpain 2012 mod, for example, despite its flaws, felt really good when I came back to simracing one years ago... So yeah we might compete some time in the future...providing I buy into the all 'premium' thing... In the meanwhile, I certainly try out some of the club event, if only to say hello to some old face...
