rFactor 2 Round 2 Monaco

Here comes Johnny with his problems.

I enter Le Mans World Series Round 4 Portimao with no problems. Everything loads and ready for practice.

I try and load Round 2 Monaco. I get "An erro occurred. Unable to instal server mod, most likely cause is missing content. Please try returning to the main menu, or restarting the game."

I've downloaded the track and cars from this website like I always do. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Okay. Thanks Ken. Will do.

 

Can't access server. Tried everything suggested above and in the Round 2 section and still can't get on. Spent over an hour on this and simply isn't worth it anymore.

 

It's sounds exactly the same as above.

I have done all of the suggestions above and used modmgr to delete the SRO stuff.

I have unsubscribed to the Renault mod then re-subscribed. Done the same with the track as well.

Any suggestions are welcome. I've had this before with rF2 and the above usually resolves it but not this time.

 

I hope you get in Paul. Life got busy so I haven't tried fixing the problem. Hopefully I can get in myself.

 

Steam does that doesn't it, or do I have to do something. Got Steam on Auto Update and there are no Updates Queued.

How do I tell which version I have?

 

I literally don't do jack and still don't have enough time for things LOL. I guess that's life getting busy.

I did pretty much what Ken said but a tiny bit different since my modMgr shows nothing and just pretty much blank.

I unsubscribe from the Renault car from this forum. Go into rF2 game itself and go to content and delete SRO Renault from rF2. Come back into this forum and subscribe back into the Renault car/mod and then jump back onto the server and it works.

Of course, Ken already said this in the other race posting but just wanted to bring it up again to maybe help a person in need.

On a side note, the stalls where the cars sit. One stall tends to make the car jump around and you can't get the car to leave the stall. I had to leave the game and come back in and it fixed itself. Maybe it was on my end but just wanted to give the heads up.

I understand for most, this is easy stuff. I'm one of those guys that it isn't easy installing something that's normally normal for everyone else. But yet, I can build a computer in a few hours taking my time .

As for understanding this. I usually love getting to the bottom of bugs I was a software engineer for 25 years but rF2 is really testing my patience lately. Think it maybe my health and the fact it's summer and my games room is like an oven but I really can't be arsed to sit down for hours trying to get this working. I will try one last time though. Thanks for all of your suggestions.

 

Johnny did you set up the working directory/folder to point to your rFactor 2 installation directory/folder. You do this in the bottom right of the modmgr window.

 

OK so I got onto the server at long last after several more hours of trying. Fanfare please

No there's no need as now I have no sound on full throttle. Only get car sounds in the pit stall and on the pit limiter. When I go to accelerate I get some intermittent sound which goes mute at full throttle.

The sound issue is across all mods in rF2. I have run AC just to make sure it's not a hardware problem and the sound is perfect. So what would cause a sound issue like this.

I have just verified the files in rF2 via Steam and all is OK.

Short of completely reinstalling rF2 I am at a lose. Any suggestions welcome at this stage before I give up entirely and go for an overnight reinstall of rF2 which I really do not want to do.
