Everyone raves about Spa...I've never liked it.... Will put some practise in tonight. Also realized i don't tend to drive the Audi here, Eau rouge is not its friend
Surprised by peoples rather different technique caused me to go off massively. three and a half minute hold then decide to carry on and a few laps later i go off on my own at Radillion. Every lap anyway was always a surprise anyway, never have got on with this combo.
Had a great battle for 4th position for 3/4 of the race, but in the end car bottomed out at Eau-Rouge, spun around, no idea how I avoided the barrier and badly flat spotted tyres. Was tough to even bring it home after that, 2-3 seconds off my pace with horrible vibration for the remaining laps. Needed to spend more time with the setup (like any!) cause that was definately not optimum. Ended up using my Nurburgring setup, which was fairly stable, except Eau-Rouge where I thought I was going to bin it every lap. Shame it didn't rain, that would have been funny.
Well quali 2nd with a few more tenths in there but not near Jeffrey's pace :/ Gotta put in the practice to be on that kind of pace with me limited talents. Daniel great fighting, I was only in there because you guys seemed to have gotten into trouble up front. Backmarkers not good this race, I was battling for 2nd with Jeffrey on the last lap after it seems like there were backmarker troubles up front? And down to the very last corner the blue flag car wasn't getting out of my way, I was within .5 meters of the guy and he wouldnt get out of the way and I had Jeffrey right on my tail. I was just focused on getting by the backmarker next thing I see is Jeffrey seems to have lost it probably avoiding a collision with me Jeffrey don't leave, you are the resident alien
Race summary A couple of mini freezes, one (only one) lack of concentration/stupid error and to finish off a major freeze, ended up in the barrier and that was that. Other than that it was fun
That was totaly my fault .. I went off in the sand & had no clue where the other cars were & momentum carried me back as I tried to get control, I finally hit the tarmac only to run into the leader .. Damm ... I did a drive threw but sadly that won't fix Jefferys race .. Ya Jeffery how many races have we been in? how many have you won? things happen in racing .. I hope once you cool down you can join us again I mean you have the points lead & I'm sorry it worked out like it did .. shit happens & it was all my fault . ..
Was good Alex, first stint we had very similar pace but then the pit stop just edged me out in front. Jeffrey, mate!! I feel it for ya fella!! A back marker left the track then took out jeffrey as he rejoined, I just managed to get past as he was coming back across the track, not the nicest way to lose the lead of the race with 2 laps to go. I think we should award you extra points for getting close enough to Jeff to hit him. The rest of us can’t!
I mean ..he wins every race .. gets taken out in this one & still gets a podium & then quits? I don't get it .. I know its my fault but talk about making me feel even worse? wtf? things happen in racing ..look at the first 45 min of Lemans!
Also Congrats & welcome to Simon Wattman on his first online race in ACC !.. even though he messed up the pit stop & only got gas & no tires he learned a lot about online racing! & Im sure will be ready for the next one!
The blue flag thing is somewhat strange, when on the last lap it seems it does not come out for some reason? only on last laps? the same thing happened last race where there were no blue flags ... I have now noticed once the leader crosses the line & the engineer says "leaders on last lap" after that no more blue flags ?? at least that's what's happening with me on my end ..?
No idea, you might be right. It was Mr. Wattman on the last lap who I was talking about, for all I know he didnt even know it was a blue flag for him, but I was on his tail for a quarter lap with Jeffrey on my tail.
Don’t worry Rob, Jeff is a diva sometimes. He’ll hopefully see the funny side eventually when he’s picked up his rattle and got back in his pram. .
