Automobilista 2 Round 3 Long Beach Street

Round 3 is in my old backyard! I grew up about 45 min south of Long beach in a shady little artist /surf community called Laguna Beach! I have actually driven & sat in traffic on these roads in there regular non race status lol.. Been to a few IndyCar races there as well. Its a beautiful scenic beach town with deadly walls of death when its turned into a race arena!

Race notes: Standing start for round 3.

Turn one at Long Beach is a beast ,don't let it catch you off guard! It comes quick and is very tight and un forgiving. Going into the fountain loop is no picnic either so lets all be careful & mindful of the cars around us. Its better to lift and live another lap then end it all in the wall ..

The server will restart at 18:00 GMT for official practice. Admin must be first to join.
If the server is empty after *18:00 please wait for the admin to be first to enter to start the session before joining.

hmm we are already 4 players on the server & no update was there and I have auto-updates on ?
when was the last time you ran the game?

 

Now i see it in ams 2 forum but its to late for us .. see if you can join the server?

 

Looks like its ok, other players say they have it to and are on the server with no issues

 

refresh, or sometimes I need to close the game & try again ! players are on with 1.2.5.0

 

Server files are un-affected so the server is still valid !

What a crazy race! first some drivers get A 5 gig update that comes out as the server is started for official practice ..
Then my race was a mess .. I set in the first set up page after Q for 95L of fuel .. race starts & I only have 25L so on lap 6 or 7 I pull into pits ( after a DT for cuts at T1 ) and fumbling with my strategy menu trying to add fuel I must have hit the "driver swap" by accident as when I exit pits AI HAS MY CAR !!! lol and AI was a way better driver then me hahah .. anyway I started hitting every button I could as I had no Idea what happened trying to get control again.. I tried 3 pit stops to see if it would change back but NO!! At this point I made sure I was in last place as I was not the driver anymore and that's simply not fair or allowed .. Desperate, I tried one more time in pits and this time as a last resort I tic'd the "driver swap" to yes and Bam I was back in control .. only to plow the wall in T1 lol ..

Still A lot to learn with AMS2 hahah & the last min update did not help matters .. After all that I got to finish the last 30 min or so as the driver..& I must say it was a blast none the less ..
Grats to the podium ! It took nerves of stele to maintain the podium at this track ! well done guys!!
Lets hope for a smoother experience at VIR ....
