    DISCLAIMER: DRIVING PROTO-TYPES

    * If you choose to drive a proto-type in this series, you must realize and accept that in every race you will be held up several times per lap.
    * If you choose to drive a proto-type in this series, you have to respect every other driver on track in any class at any moment (even if you're fighting).
    * If you choose to drive a proto-type in this series, you must realize that the GTE class is your equal on track and does not need to get out of your way.
    * If you choose to drive a proto-type in this series, you must realize that the GTE class is the most difficult of all three classes because they are the slowest.

    If a proto-driver does not understand these rules of behaviour, he will be asked to move to the GTE class.

    I think LMP1 class will run with this until there's a lack of drivers and then join the GT group as the series progresses. I wish there was more LMP drivers. :(

    The Prototypes have 7 cars for each class.
    LMP1 Ginetta= 7
    LMP2 Oreca = 7
    GTE = 18

    The LMP2 class is now full with 7 cars. Anyone else joining LMP2 will be a red light (waiting list).
    The LMP1 Ginetta is one of the best LMP1 cars I have driven in rF2 and I really was on a fence between GTE and the Ginetta. I think the LMP1 class will fill once it's clear how good the car is.

    If the LMP1 stays low, then I will move there. I wanted to take the Ginetta at first anyway. That is one outstanding car :cool:

    As a new serie, we have better to test many things especially the tires and server ( surely many people will say " not connect the server, what is short., etc, etc., etc. ). So you have better to open the server asap.

    Day to night transition

    Qual will be in full daylight.
    The race will start in daylight and move into the night, where it will be completely dark before we finish.

    Time acceleration for this event

    This event will have a 3 x time acceleration.
    That means that we will start in daylight at 3:00 pm in-game. After 45 minutes of racing it will get dark. With 35 minutes to go, it will be completely dark.

    Is it worth doing this in reverse for one of the events? Bathurst 12 hour style, so 7am start into sunrise? Only an idea.

    No problem to me starting in the dark and moving to daylight for some other event. We could do this at Road America for which I'm also planning a mid-event rain period in daylight.
    Are there more people agreeing with this?

    Interesting, yeah see what other people think. I am mindful that some are using maybe older PC's that don't like too much going on during a race so I'm not unhappy if it's voted down :)

    I'm usually an Oreca 07 fan but I'll try out the Ginetta just to see what it's like, if it frees up a slot for someone waiting for an LMP2.

    You will love that car. Very high quality in FFB and road feel. There is 1 spot left.

    LMP1 = 7 cars max
    LMP2 = 7 cars max
    GTE = 16 cars max

    Is there going to be a live steward or post race analysis for this series? I think that this event, unfortunately, will be marred by a high rate of attrition. I suspect mainly, but not exclusively, caused by prototype drivers choosing either inappropriate places and times to pass or becoming impatient and trying to force their way through. It's a shame there is no minimum standard required for drivers to be able to select either LMP2 or LMP1 as their vehicle.

    The driver him/herself must submit a protest to the administrators to be evaluated: 1.1. Procedure - Filing a protest

    Proto-drivers that demonstrate poor racing intelligence will be given a warning to clean up their act for the next race. If driving standards remain a problem, they will be transferred to the GTE class (if there's room) with possible given penalties.
