Registration Snetterton Circuit is a motor racing course in Norfolk, England, originally opened in 1953. Owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, it is situated on the A11 road 12 miles (19 km) north-east of the town of Thetford and 19 miles (31 km) south-west of the city of Norwich. The circuit is named after the nearby village of Snetterton to the north-west of the circuit, although much of the circuit lies in the adjoining civil parish of Quidenham.[3] The circuit hosts races from series including the British Touring Car Championship, British Formula Three Championship and British Superbike Championship. From 1980 to 1994, the track hosted the UK's first 24-hour race, the Willhire 24 Hour. From 2003 to 2013 the Citroën 2CV 24 Hour Race was held at Snetterton on the 200 Circuit. After a short stint racing at Anglesey the 2CV 24Hr race has again returned to Snetterton and is usually held around the August bank holiday weekend. My 1st gear is getting a workout at this track and I keep losing the back-end on the fast turn under the bridge into the sharp breaking zone into a sharp right (sorry don't know name, probably something like "death corner").
Hi guys. Question. Just wanted to make sure. We have to purchase this track? I don't think I've ever purchased a track for this sim.
Sory, we lost Drew Fowler, he signed up but then realized, when he could not find the server, that he's on console! Not PC! He will be joining us again in the furure when he moves over to PC racing
Dont have any issue braking through there, infact i find braking is a pretty powerful in the car so your probably braking too hard? tend to carry the brakes through the first part to line up for the next right. I 'm not a fan of the standard setups though too stiff, maybe reduce the dampers a bit on the rear?
Thanks for racing guys, big grid. Congrats Max, was never going to beat you but some more practice woulda helped Wish a few more of the league originals came back, this was a nice sized grid today.
What a nice race, the whole race a battle with Larry! It was awesome! Besides the fact that I never adjusted the caster angle till now, Rob told me I should do so, and indeed, tires were all the time in working temp and my pace was not even 1s/lap slower than the podium drivers. I call this an achievement! Thanks Rob, and thanks all others for the battles. @Rob Milliken: btw. I would have been in front of Larry after my pit stop, but indeed, you, who had not pitted yet, decided to battle me on track for one whole lap . Well, this put me 5s behind Larry after his pitstop and I had again nice battles with him - Thanks for not letting me pass immediately - I had even more fun afterwards!
Nice race. I avoided chaos in the first corner and took advantage of other drivers mistakes here and there to gain some places. Eventually I had nice fights with @Christian Mentin and @Roger Hinds. I was planning to make a late pitstop but I burned my fronts too early and I lost the little advantage I had with them and Mentin even passed me, so I pitted early. Had a good stop and a couple laps after that Mentin pitted and he was going out at the same time I was trying to pass @Rob Milliken! I aborted the pass on Rob for a bit and Christian and me head side by side into T1 trying to keep the best place. He had the inside, and unfortunately I went over the kerb and lost control a bit. The game said there was contact, but I didn't feel any, there was none that I could see on the replay, and even if there had been it was just a race incident in a very fun battle. Front that point on, I found out that Christian and @Larry Thomas were a bit faster than me. I tried to stay close to gain any possible advantage if the started fighting but I couldn't, so I checked Roger and kept distances with him after a fun race I hope I can be at Bathurst, it is the event that made me get my wheel again, but unfortunately, I can't be sure I'll be there. I'll try my best and I think I'll be able to join, but it's not in my hands so I'll just have to wait. Cya next time
Great shots Alberto! Always love your perspective Although I had some bad luck lap 1, just clipping the cars ahead that were sliding across the track, I was determined to finish, I did repair the damage but not until the scheduled pit stop so my pace was way off. The lap 1 incident put me some 25 seconds behind the mid pack so it was just a battle of hitting my marks & trying to stay on the black stuff. Congrats to the field for finishing & Big congrats to the podium! This is a really tight track, driving these GT3's on this track reminded me of watching my x-wife trying to fit back into her skinny jeans! ..it was a true challenge
After being T-boned ont he first lap and ended at the back i tried to just focus on going forward. Came up against Larry in the Bentley and the two Porsches but was just losing 1+secs behind them.. that porsche didnt not like corners! Went to pit early, went ok but on the out lap, coming around the long last corner i lost it on cold tyres and went straight on into the wall picking up major damage.. Then fumbled the frustrating pit menu... quit in frustration
I just want to apologize for the incident of first corner, it was all my fault, i tried to give room to Taner Selvi in the inside but i went off the grass and spun.. I caused a carnage and i ruined the race of some guys including myself. I am really sorry.. After the incident my car was damaged badly, i lost so much time until pitting and after i rejoined the track i was 2 laps behind already.. Game was over.. I did all the race with one set of tires, trying to not push hard for lasting until the end and finally i finished.. Well done to winner and podium finishers, until the next one take care all..
