Luckily I can make this round, but it will have to be my last race of the series! It's a shame because I was enjoying fighting for wins for the first few rounds.
I had a similar problem once. Try copying your Userdata folder to e.g. the WIN desktop and then delete it from rF2. It should then ask you to create a new user profile. At least it worked for me and I then copied back all my setups and wheel profiles.
Thank you. I will try, because the integrity check didn't solved the issue Update: A restart solved the issue. I think it was Steam's fault
I'm really sorry for the hit in the pit @Jose Branco. I hate pitting in the race. I never know when. I hate pits.
I did not expect much this race, just hoping to finish, stay out of trouble and get some race time in. Overall, a great race for me, a cautious start, kept my distance and focused. It didn't take Ken long to catch up and pass me, after that I was mainly on my own which was fine, basically, the whole race I was behind Christian until he pitted about lap 12, I then pitted lap 15 and came out about 4 .5 seconds behind, the gap grew to about 8 seconds, then gradually I was closing in on Christian until I think he ran out of fuel or his engine let go or something. Was happy (and lucky tbh) to finish 6th. Congrats to the top 3. Regards, Bret
Just to understand (not very important in my position !!) I think I crossed the finish line in 6th position (I saw a flag on the line) And when Bret passed me, (indeed, I ran out of gas and I had to stop) I found myself in 7th position... I think I have a lot of work to do to do something right with this BMW
This car seems to be very variable in grip, depending on the track layout I think. It was interesting looking at the results file and comparing the tyre wear of us all. Most guys had the heaviest wear on the left rear tyre whereas Scott and Jose encountered higher front right wear by the end of the race, but that could be because they only changed rear tyres at their stops and it changed the balance of the car? I made some changes to my previous setup for this shorter track, which felt and looked OK in practice, but in the race the wear on both left side tyres left me no option but to change all four at my stop. Possibly having to push a bit harder after my first turn semi-spin didn't help either. Fluffing the stop and losing 10 secs added to the hurt
This race was actually relatively good for me. I struggled a lot with tire deg, but at least the pace was there. I tried to put @Scott Ring under pressure at the beginning, but I think that was bad for my tires. At some point, he and Flaviu checked out. I still drive the default set up, because changing springs and stuff did not help to make the car faster. I reverted to default to avoid any unwanted side effects. So, for no set up reason, my race was better than in Rouen. I am not sure if that trend will continue for Assen.
Yeah Ken, I took new rears only, but I noticed my front right was taking a beating in the heavy brake zones by locking up ..so I had to not brake so late and I dont know if it would have made it another lap or not!
@Ken Jagger It's there any chance to have the server log file somewhere for download? Next to race reply, maybe?
Thanks for the series, guys. It's a shame I have to unregister for the last two races now, because I feel like I could have won this series! Oh well.
This was a tough and lonely one for me. Don't have time to practice, just arrive on time for qualy and my wheel configuration just get mess up and need to exit and rejoin. Start at last, nice jump out of the grid get a couple of places but no pace and a spin put me back again, no worries just try to improve my laps as it goes. It got interesting after being lapped following Penny for the last 5 laps until the end . Thanks for your comment but I think I'm the one responsible since I'm getting out of the pit stop and you are driving the pit lane, I don't even look if someone is coming so I would call it "unsafe release", I'm glad you seems to be ok and I'll fire my spotter .
Flaviu if you mean the Race results file, you should have them all in your ..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Log\Results folder
