….meanwhile @Julian Smith & I trade times on the time trials! Nice one Jules, great fun…..that last chicane is where time is lost or gained. I’m just pleased to be quicker than Nemesis69!
Its been fun @Chris Belfield ,really hard to keep getting slightly faster times, your right with the chicane, next target is to keep it on the track for 45 mins. and yes we have beat Nemesis.
Ok guys , again we try for the live broadcast (test) .. I want to apologize now for butchering all your names .. Maybe you guys can help me out in the chat by writing out how they sound vrs how they are spelled lol. I wish you all good luck & see you on the grid ~!~
No idea how, but I ended up on the roof in turn one with terminal damage at the rear. Well, a short pleasure, I will try it again at Sonoma.
Great racing guys! It's a learning experience with the broadcast tools in PC2, seems I can't use the broadcast overlay hotkeys to control or start/stop the broadcast so ended up having to alt-tab, then the mic was off lol I was talking through Q but didn't see that the mic was not working but got it on just in time for the race ...Then the PC2 manual says the tools won't be shown in the broadcast but they clearly were visible the whole time lol.In short, it was a mess lol. But this is why we test !
Sorry I missed all this ..I was multi-tasking trying to figure out the what's & why's of PC2's Broadcast tools. Seems it does not like to play with GFE .. it's doable but would like to have the tool menus go away .. & sort the sound pops etc... This was the first time I have ever tried to use these tools as you can only use/test them in a MP session so the next one should be better !
Bad race result for me, sitting 4rth with a lap to go and ran out of fuel. I set fuel up for 37 laps but ran out on the 35th lap. Will have to give a bit extra in future . Congrats to the podium and see you all next meeting.
No Problem. I hoped to See what happened at the Broadcast ... Apart from that You did a good Job. Has anyone Else the replay? I would still Like to See what happened.
I somehow knew this one wouldn't be my race, I found it incredibly hard to find a setup that I felt comfortable with and I struggled with putting in consistent laptimes. Qualifying went well, maganed to get a relatively quick time, but I had a bad start from the line in the race. I got knocked off in the first corner and drifted back onto the track, hitting Ken and sustaining damage. I started to catch back up and soon enough I found myself chasing Gerhard in 3rd. I started pushing a bit to keep up with him, but then my rear lefts overheated and I had a massive crash in the last corner. I had to pit for repairs and after joining back I could only salvage 8th. I'm a bit gutted, it would've been a fun race if I had been a bit smarter and conserved my tyres. A good race overall, had some intense fights, congrats to everyone who finished! See you at the last race at Sonoma, I'm really looking forward to that track!
I must admit I was not sure which way this race was going to play out, Chris and I had traded blows on Time Trials and there wasn't any thing between us. Race Set up was always going to be the key on this track and I wasn't confident in mine for 45 mins, I knew Chris was on it, so I couldn't afford to run too much rear wing but decided to go with setting 2 so I had a bit of stability for the race, the only thing I couldn't get dialled out was a hot left rear tyre and if it heated up to much the car was awful to drive. Luckily I manage to keep the rear tyre in check for the race which I was pleased about and didn't overly expect. I see Viktor has already set a time on TT after the race, looks like you like that track, I had a look at the circuit last night and wow that looks tricky lot of gradients, but looks real fun I think. Thanks to all as always and see you at the last race.
Oh boy, lap 1 corner 1 was like an action movie. In the replay i saw, that no one was guilty or to blame! Viktor was on the inside, Brian outside, they had a liitle contact, no drama, but Viktor was pushed out unfortunately. When returning to the track he crashed with Ken, and that looks dramatic, in real life none of the two would survive. The chain reaction behind was remarkable, i am sure the track is not already cleaned yet. After lap1 i was on P4 and in my mirror Ken and Viktor appeared soon. So i recognized, my only chance going for a podium was to pass Brian asap and push like crazy. Viktor was very close at some points but i was aible to defend. Later he lost his pace and after that the car. Sorry mate, i enjoyed the fight a lot, same as at Sugo. Looking forward to Sonoma !!!!!
Just watched your broadcast @Rob Milliken Brilliant job for a test, really good to watch the race from all cars and battles and all the commentary. really enjoyed it. Thanks for the work and effort to do it.

Thanks, Julian! Regarding the broadcast, being a sound engineer & musician who works with audio & mixing tools a lot I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out the sound pops & did some research to find out there are 2 issues going on for allot of streamers right now, one with YouTube that has popped up in the last few months & one with GFE that I use with my system to broadcast, this was supposed to be fixed a few builds ago, anyway there was a fix posted that I'm going to try for next round. I'm just glad it's not 100% on my end so it should be resolved (if the fix works) & I also found out that PC2's broadcast tools were meant for 2 people on 2 PC's & with only one you can only use the "Directors suite" & in that we are stuck with what you see in the broadcast, the tool menus won't go away unless a "Broadcaster" is also assigned, he gets the feed from the director without the bottom screen menus & streams the event from his PC using the feed from the director who controls all the cams's & tools .. I'm just getting my toes wet as far as streaming/broadcasting & this was my first with PC2 and only my 4th try over all. I really enjoy it so far & hope to iron out these issues & look forward to broadcasting more SRO events
Wow , that sounds like a lot of work, not so straightforward, I noticed on a couple on YouTube vids with the same audio pops , hope it gets sorted but still very entertaining, I could never commentate on a race for 45 mins so respect to you. Thanks again to all of you at SRO and your hard efforts.
