Setup coming along nicely for this circuit………only to realise that I’ll be away on holiday for the last race of the series! Have fun all, maybe see some if you in the Octavia Trophy…..been doing some laps with it and what a hoot!……funnily enough, I’ll miss the last round of that one too!
Lets bring it to a good end. 99% Julian will do the double Hattrick and will win race Nr 6 in a row. Incredible, we must watch and learn. Please dont forget to register for the follower series, you will not regret it. Good luck all!! https://simracingonline.co.uk/racing/seriesinfo/288
Arf....what a disappointment, once again well placed, 5th (well, for me!!) and disconnected at 10 minutes from the end...
Just watched the live feed on YouTube……big accident @Ken Jagger! Shame about the disconnects for some. Congratulations to @Julian Smith & @Viktor Takács on 1st & 2nd in both the race and the championship. Shame I couldn’t make it. Didn’t like the track when I first tried it, but eventually had a good setup and would have liked to have defended my championship position, but Mrs B had holiday aspirations! Great job on the broadcast @Rob Milliken! Thanks to Ken for hosting and see you all again in another series.
I thought I had got away with it as I was sliding down the barrier, but at the end there seemed to be an invisible wall which stopped the car dead. I only took aero repairs as the mechanical repairs option takes forever. My engine was down to 60% after the pit stop, so I was way down on power for the remainder of the race, some 3-4 secs per lap slower . Still it wasn't as bad as the guys who experienced disconnx. Very strange as the hardware server we use for PC2 has been very reliable overall. Grats to Mr. PC2, Julian Smith, on another storming performance. I wonder if there is something in the local water supply where Julian lives? Maybe you should have it chemically tested JS before it's too late!
Congrats to Julian awesome pace and Viktor to a great race. And thank you Gerhard for a good set up ! Wouldn´t have been possible with out it. And sorry to Ken for trading some paint work as all ways thank you Admins It was a though one try to keep focus for 45 min and Scott not to far behind most part off the race. Tired but happy to get a podium
Just watched the whole broadcast brilliant job @Rob Milliken great to watch and listen too. Thx to @Ken Jagger for the series and all the work The race was nice and clean for me, a few tricky times that nearly lost the back end, but the setup held in there and apart from a slightly hot front tyre it worked well. @Viktor Takács great race and consistent times and congrats for second in the championship, nice to see @Björn Johansson back for a race and podium. Shame @Chris Belfield couldn't make it but hes very quick and I'm sure it would have been close. Thx to all the guys I race with, really good sim racing fun. See you all for the next series.
A great race to end the season on, had a consistent pace due to having finally found a setup that I felt comfortable with. In qualifying it took a few laps to get some clean air and be able to set a fast lap, meaning that I only had one or two runs to do it. The competition was looking pretty fierce in the top 6, so I really didn't want to start lower than the second row. Fortunately I managed to set a decent time and could start from 3rd. In the race there honestly wasn't that much action, I got up to p2 off the line and then everyone around me was doing consistent laps so no overtakes happened afterwards. Great pace from @Julian Smith, @Björn Johansson and @Scott Ring as well. It's a shame that so many disconnects happened, almost half of the field just disappeared. Sometimes (quite often actually) this game can be a mess. Congrats to @Julian Smith for taking the championship decisively and @Chris Belfield as well, I'm sure he would've gotten 2nd overall had he been able to participate in this race. Special thanks to the admins, @Ken Jagger and @Rob Milliken doing an outstanding job as always! See y'all at the next championship!
Good stuff Rob. Glad that Ken and Brian are still alive after that shunt. PC2 sure does look good on the broadcast ( flapping damaged body parts now?!) I just wish it felt better on my G27. Sometimes I start to practice a few laps and it rattles my wheel so hard, I just say no thanks. I've tried a few different custom FFB files but it seems to depend more on the track and car. This track had a few spots but I persevered and decided I must put some time in and find some rhythm if I want a decent result. Being stuck in the pits with my wheel and petals not responding for like 10min (left server 3 times, rebooted ) was freaky. I could go into options and the wheel and buttons would respond, but when I went to start driving I had nothing. When Gerhard said the same, I felt better, and soon after we both got our controls back at the same time. I was right behind him in the next stall. Rob says if someone is coming out of pits next to you it can lock your controls til they pass, maybe just something weird with this pitlane..
The same thing happened to me a few times in PC2, one time it lasted forever & I was so confused and then I found that PC2 had this "safety" feature to not allow 2 cars out of the pits that are next to each other at the same time. The feature is only triggered if both players are in their cars with engines running (both have hit drive) keep in mind you can enter the options menu while sitting in your car in PC2 and AMS2, In my case the driver next to me was in his car but was just sitting there checking some other things & not ready to go out on track, this locked my controls & also kept me from going out ... I believe that also depends on what side of you the other car is and in what direction you turn to get to pit out, this determines what car has priority first ...
Rob is absolutely right, if anyone sits in the pit with the engine running and has basically pressed ready to leave the pits but doesn't move it will lock everyone else's controls. I had the same , waiting and not moving till the car decided to leave the pits. hopefully the people who read this will be aware to leave the pits when they have pressed ready to leave the pits.
Didn´t know that about the controls in pit ! Great to know. But I had a very strange thing earlier yesterday afternoon, I always like to do a 20- 25 min AI race to have some sort off preparation doing this for years now. But yesterday I could only get 80-85 % off throttle in AI race ?? Time trail worked ok so even SRO practise server. Any one have a clue on that one?? Never had that before
To be honest @Björn Johansson never had that in an AI race, I also do the same for race prep, hopefully someone will have some sort of idea.
A funny sort of race for me, I was tailing Ken when he spun on the back straight and I couldn't avoid hitting him broadside. BOOM! . I managed to enter the pits for repair and come out in last position. After a few laps I was seeing cars flying overhead in the sky???? Anyone else see this? Around 3/4 through the race I managed to get up to 7th then I was disconnected. A few others were also disconnected so I think there was a glitch or a gremlin about. Congrats to the podium, can someone let Julians tyres down please A big thanks to Ken for setting up the series and thanks to all you drivers out there for making it entertaining and fun. See you all next series.
