First of all, we are very sorry for all the lag in the race. We are looking into it very seriously and are working hard to get it fixed for round 2.

Nothing worth mentioning. A light blue colour.
Due to the lag in turn one, someone teleported back to the side of me. That gave me damage. My steering wheel was off-centre like 15 degrees.
And then .... I realized I had been driving in the safety car setting for 7 laps before I woke up LOL!! I was like ... "why the hell doesn't that car go?! I was being passed left and right.
And then ... in the last 5 laps I was being attacked by Carl Middleton and Alex Moore and I accidentally turn off the engine on the straight ... Goodbye third place! :eek:o_O
With all that, 5th place isn't all that bad.

    Protests

If you feel you have reason to protest because of the conduct of another driver, you will find the protest section in the rules and regulations.
For example, if someone punted you off track or out of position and he hasn't given the position back or done a drive-thru, you have reason to protest. It has to be a clear punt and not lag related.

You must race in the class that you register for. If you want to change classes, you must unregister and then register again. There were two drivers in this event that changed classes without proper registration and this causes errors in our results processing. Racing in an incorrect class can result in a disqualification.

    Just watched the stream.

Wow, i'm amazed that you were able to make that work, given all the lag troubles the drivers were having. Good job guys!

Hopefully kept out of everyones way and luckily avoided a couple of (invisible) "massive pile-ups" to eventually limp home. To be honest, the lag didn't annoy me as much as 'Crew Chief', which took over my fueling schedule and caused me to pit 2 or 3 times in the last few laps. Thanks Jim.
I think and certainly hope that I avoided ruining anyones race, but must admit I was less prepared for this event than the server . . . caught Covid and wasn't really in the mood, so hadn't driven the car, nor the track, until the afternoon of the race. But figured I should go ahead as I'd had to fork out full price for the GT3 pack (presumed I had most of them before I signed up - turned out I didn't have any!). Along with some other bits and pieces, I've spent over £50 on rF2 this week. The reason I'm writing this (apart from to congratulate the winners and commend the broadcast team) is to let everyone know that the next Steam Sale, to include race sims, is set for May 23 to May 30.
As for the congrats - wow! the Pastore brothers and Johnny Gutierrez - absolutely phenomenal drives by three phenomenal drivers! Amazing! And to the broadcast crew at Eitha Racing Team, watched the replay last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's obvious you guys know what you're talking about and love what you're doing. Keep up the great work.

    :p:p:p
Good investment in a quality mod. SRO is running this mod frequently.
And if you want to try the GT3 mod, you can change classes as much as you want. Won't do your championship any good, but you can. Just remember to sign up for the right class.

I never listen to Crew Chief for pit strategy, beyond asking "how much fuel for one hour" (do you have it set to respond to vocal requests?), because it rarely understands any other increment and rF2 seems to have some very strange and opaque algorithm for automatically/arbitrarily calling for a pit stop. So I use "Jim" only to fine tune my prior fuel calculations.

The real advantage with Crew Chief is it's spotter - it has saved me from MANY potential collisions - and it's ability to predict "where will i be after a stop", if you've asked it to set a benchmark stop during a practice session. Wish it and rF2 had options for multiple pit strategies.

I've never got on with Crew Chief which is why I have a Sim Hub overlay for RF2 which gives me all the info I could need. Also, playing on a single monitor means it can be a little hairy in close battles but a Sim Hub Radar works wonders!
