sorry guys had to deregister... got too many issues with Pcars2 at present. no matter what ive tried, as soon as i get a couple of laps into practice PC freezes solid. no other option but to hard restart PC. have some good racing.. Paul V.
Very sorry to hear that Paul and can't really offer any help as it's such an unspecific problem, other than the usual suggestions of Steam validation and/or uninstall/reinstall. Hope you can get it fixed and come back to the series soon.
Hi Paul, check the CPU temperature, PC2 is very CPU intensive and I'm having problems I can't play more than minutes until the CPU temperature raises 75ºC and shutdown. Strangely this only starts to happen in the last couple of days, on my case I guess maybe something in the cooler because I touch it and its barely warm.
Hi Jose, I've checked all over the internet and this issue comes up often with regards to this problem. I actually didn't think it was an issue, but know you've mentioned it I will do some checking of temps etc. I'm also a little low on disc space when it's all installed, I think this may also not be helping. Paul.
Nice Round 1, grats podium, esp. Scott did a perfect job. Not to mention Julian, he is the Boss. Also very strong: Brian!!! cheers mate. My race was over in lap 2 or 3, when Alex hit the wall and i could not avoid the contact. With damages at the front my car was very nervous and hard to drive. I suppose flags were not activated this time, because i could not see any blue flag, this was a bit dangerous. CU next time mates, 2 or 3 drivers will join us , so a nice grid is waiting.
Really enjoy the car and tracks coming up, Good race for me, but quali didn't go so well, left the pits too late and got stuck trying to get a good lap in. I knew @Viktor Takács was on the pace and also @Aleksandar Stanisavljev so I was surprised to end up P2 which I was happy with, but its a hard track to pass cleanly on so I needed a good start which luckily happened ,then it was a race to T1. Shame the race went wrong for Viktor as I think it would have been fun. I did have some close shaves with some cars spinning and coming round the corner and slamming on the brakes a few times, but managed to get away with not crashing in to anyone. Congrats to the Podium guys and looking forward to the next one. Great to see some more drivers for the next one. the grid is filling up Cya at the next one.
Probably the best car I have driven in PC2, or let's say the car I got along with best, so far. Pace was good, even my quali was bad. For the race, I wanted to play the long game and keep my nose clean. That worked for the most of the race, but I could not avoid a car that spun at the hairpin. You can see the result in the attached screenshot. I feared that it was game over, however somehow the car got back on its wheels. But the damper on the right rear was broken. I pitted for repairs, which put me to the back. At least I could push for the remaining 15 minutes and recovered some places. I would like to join you for Laguna Seca as well, but I cannot guarantee that because I start a new job the day before. But we will see.
Wow nice pic but a shame, Its so hard to avoid people on that track I got lucky. hope you can make the next race but got to be hard starting a new job the day before. good luck
Bad race for me. I got a little damage on lap one and that slowed my pace a bit. Then towards the end caught up to Helmut. I accidentally got into him not once, but twice. First time I waited for him to pass me again, and the second time I pitted. Sorry Helmut! Other than that, had fun driving these cars.
After having one of the worst starts to any race I think I managed to recover fairly well. I hit the wall on the second lap just before the fountain (I'll blame it on the cockpit being on the wrong side of the car ) and had to wait till everyone passed me since I couldn't rejoin safely. After that I started climbing back up and got up all the way to 3rd by just over the halfway mark. I started pushing even more to start closing in on @Scott Ring but made a couple of mistakes that cost me dearly. For some reason (probably because of my low ride height) the car just snapped a few times when going over bumps on the straights and I had to be on my toes the whole time. I gathered some damage from these snaps and finished the race being significantly down on power. I also had a collision with @Ken Jagger at the end, which made it impossible for me to close up again on Brian. Overall I'm proud of my pace, but I was just pushing too much throughout the race. See y'all at Laguna Seca, I'm really looking forward to it!
That was bad luck for sure and something similar nearly happened to me coming onto the back straight through the blind entry corner, to find Viktor broadside on , luckily in the middle of the track so there was just enough room to squeeze by on the left. Philipp I've heard from Bubba Burgers who want to give you a free supply of their King Size for a year, as a thank you for the unpaid promotion
