Sorry I will not be able to make it this week. Family flying in and I have to pick them up at the airport. That will be the first two races missed. Hopefully I will make the next one. Good luck all, and have a great race.
Eventually we managed to start, but it was not a 100% race Very poor qualifying, then a nice first corner, but in the beginning of the race my pace was too slow, two rivals passed me without any problems. Driving less aggressively allowed to save tires, which paid off at the end of the competition. At the last moment, I climbed to the bottom step of the podium. Grats to Kiril on the win and to Michal. I think the tyres went of for lots of drivers toward the end which changed to result. Couldn’t manage the same pace in quali as I had done on the server earlie in the week……with the same setup! But wasn’t complaining at 3rd. Managed to get ahead of Csaba and into second by turn 1, then watched Kiril’s car take up progressively fewer pixels on my screen as the laps went by. It turned into a lonely race from that point but another clean race from all participants, so looking forward to the next one
To be honest, I do not like this car and I assume the car does not like me either. But to my surprise, this race was not that bad. Other than the last time, I did not panic because I feared a tire blow-up (side kick showed a red zero). However, as AC is not rf2 this was a very bad idea and I wanted to do better this time. I had a nice battle with @Kimi Martikainen who probably tried the same strategy (being a bit slower at the beginning because we had to learn the track better ). It seems that this helped to preserve the tires and we both showed a good/consistent pace till the end. Highlight of my race was the pass of @Jari Laakkonen It probably looks less spectacular from the outside, and it is a result of more grip, but still. Congrats to the podium finishers, see you at some point in the future. (Probably not at the next event)
Thanks guys! That was the first time I felt vibrations on the main straight towards the end of the race. Is that possible or my wheel is broken? The tyres were done! I had to be very careful in the last 6-8 laps. It seemed like a good clean race again. I have a deserved holiday for the next 2 weeks, so see you all after that Have fun!
