Besides being the only way is actually easy in steam, steam allows you to use alias, so you just need to edit your profile before you join the server..

That was a wet one. I wish I had enough fuel to stretch my first stint to when the track dried up. Those of you who did a one stop that was perfect timing.

I forgot to check the forecast and was unprepared for that. Sure was fun. Had a lap 1 incident and not sure what happened but I ended up in the guard rail. The damage made it even more challenging. Some guys were passing me like the track was dry. But it was a nice surprise to have that wet race. Thanks Rob :) Grats to John!

Ya that was some crazy weather .. I saw in the race settings that rain was in the forecast but didn't think it would be a torrential down poor! lol

I see some quirky things now and then. No show stoppers. Rain xfs are very good and I feel like the physics are too. I don't have much experience in the rain but I felt like it was as close to real as it will get for me in this life. :)

    Thanks for the broadcast!

Hey I got fastest lap in the race was not expecting that at all.
I went a little long on the wets. Then when I finally went to slicks my lap times improved significantly. I guess the leaders never went to slicks.

I think my win was just dumb luck. When the track was drying out, I was burning up my wets. When they started to go from orange to red I though ... well, the hell with it. I'm not going to drive on melting rubber. So I pitted again for new tires. And to my surprise ... I closed on the leader Gert-Jan van Osch and overtook him. I think he tried to stay out on wets and hope for the best.

I looked at the weather forecast and part 4 mentioned rain again. So I relied on that it would rain again. I think I pitted 18min before the end and my wets were not running hot at that point. So I put on a new set and added fuel to make it to the end. When i returned to the track it was much dryer and the wets overheated in a few laps. After everyone pitted I was over 20s in front of 2nd and saw that John and Mariusz were running close together. Than I noticed that John was in 2nd and closing fast and also other drivers unlapped themselves. At that point changing to softs would have put me 15s behind John with 5-10 minutes to go so I think I never would be able to overtake him again so I decided to sit this one out and settle for 2nd.

From the start of the race I was surprised to pull away from the field... someone mentioned in the chat I overtook him like I was running on a dry road. I merely reduced my rear ARB and moved a bit more brake bias to the front and short shifted on accelaration when I was in a straight line. Had to be carefull in the corners but car was understeering, but that is always better than oversteer. All in all a good run without driving mistakes only my strategic decision to stay on wets prevented me to finish on the top spot.

Congrats to John on the win. CU

If I can remember correctly you have to click "Ready" and then it takes you to the track automatically.
Maybe Rob can explain more. We need you in the field.

left the setup too hard and with too little downforce . Found my car almost undrivable and was just there to be lapped. Gave up after 15 mins or so racing as I was just in the way. Rethinking my racing at the moment. :(

Hang in there Martyn! I need someone to race. Those fast guys take off never to be seen again until they lap me half way through the race.

Thanks for the tips. I could not understand how you could put the power down like you did. But my setup was not right for the monsoon so I am happy to just finish. I came in with about 15 minutes left and got slicks and it was like a different race. Wish Martyn was there to race me at the end :)

Sorry I couldn't make this one, I did sign myself out on the day but apologies real life got in the way I'm afraid.

Looks like it was an eventful race!

I always thought that wet weather on PC2 and AMS2 always looked very realistic, when you view the YouTube stream sometimes it looks real.

On PC2 I did a heavy rain race at Spa with 35 GT3 cars, and even though you know it's not real, it's still kinda terrifying as you just cannot see anything! lol.

So glad that I see in the beta builds that RF2 is finally starting to sort out simple things like the rooster spray. It looks so much better as well now.

When I think a game like Grand Prix 4 probably had better wet weather visuals that new sims, does make you wonder....haha.

I actually felt chilly in that race. Im not giving up but I need to find some speed. It feels like I'm driving the wheels off the car in VR. In replay I can actually see where to find speed when I'm not using all of the track.
