If you mean getting used to the conditions. I just ran a practice session at night against AI. Did that last night for about an hour. Worked well enough for me. Of course the only down side is you didn’t know what temperatures the SRO server is set at.

Through the night is very trciky for the tires, should be experienced on my side; as you said that should be ensured about the temperatures at the server and how the tires work.

That was a shame. After all the practice I did.

Game froze on me. I could hear the sounds but no visuals. So I had to restart the PC :(

Shame, although I was on my own it was good fun and was enjoying the sun starting to set

Well done to those that made it, wishing you a good race.

@Andy Tomlinson really sorry for the two hits mate. It was a bas rejoin on the first. The second i really don't know what happened, i tried to keep the car as straight as i could. Hope you had fun anyway, cause i had tons...still sorry by the way, hope to see you in the next one

No probs mate, yeh rejoin was iffy but I didn't get damage or hit a wall. It did invoke what's come to be known as Drive angry mode.

Second on the Camel straight in close check of the replay was a racing incident.

I didn't fully close off the inside as I didn't want the marbles for the rest of the lap and you squoze in which I wasn't expecting. I didn't move back to the race line as you are only allowed one direction change in racing to defend which I had already done out of au rouge.
The bump was network and the marbles. Our cars were jittering in the replay and your car will of been bouncing due to marbles.

My rejoin was too me a little iffy but that slip road spits you out onto the corner exit and I tried to stay as far off the line as possible to let you back past to avoid the ACC punishment for passing off track.

The next set of races I don't think I will be so lucky as the races are too short to allow me to catch you like this time.

Sorry, I type way too much.

I too look forward to hopefully battling with you again. I still get a grin watching the stream as it was so good.

I went into this race knowing faster drivers were returning. In practice sessions I was roughly on par with them until the later stages where they must of found something in the setup as they were running .5 second faster, so I began to plan for a strong 2nd place fight knowing I could keep up with others such as Balli.

I got a poor start though, and I didn't have as much advantage to pull away this time (told you Rnd 2 was a fluke), I must of been carrying more fuel, though I could keep up. Down to 4th for the first few turns until unfortunately Sameer made a mistake letting me back through to 3rd.
Now it was a case of keeping up with Roberto. His Ferrari was able to pull away in places and my Boatley regain the loss elsewhere so it was a stalemate all the while Ricardo was able to pull away in pole.

I must of managed to get into the draft zone with Roberto, because I suddenly had closing speed and heading into the bus stop either my brakes faded or he broke earlier. Not sure which but the result was "oh crap I'm going to hit him" so I had to point the nose at the apex and pray the side slip scrubbed enough speed as not to collect the Ferrari. We avoided the collision but only because Balli kept his Ferrari wide, sorry for the scare.

Once passed I settled down to try and pull a gap ready for my pit stop where I noticed Riva had pitted early?? strange but he had enough speed to possibly pull a 2 stop I couldn't tell. My problem was I couldn't get enough pace to loose Balli's Ferrari. I wanted to pit earlier than Balli but I also needed to burn enough fuel so that I could fit enough during the pit to finish, so Balli got the earlier pit. I had 1 lap more to do than the Ferrari but then I could pit.

I hoped that I had done enough to come out in front of the Ferrari, I did not count on my pit stop to go so well as to bring me out clear of the Ferrari but also, so close to the leader after he had a pre-pit lead of 15-20 seconds. But alas, even though I had closed the gap up to 4 or so seconds from the BMW, he began to pull away until Dawn began to break and the gap started to decrease???

The rest is on the stream.

Last thing was the fact that after our 2nd coming together my car had lost its top end speed so Riva was able to catch and was catching fast. I can't believe I didn't realise I crossed the line with 2 seconds of the session left giving him 1 more lap to catch up.

Network and mistakes aside I am thoroughly enjoying this close racing, going round corners side by side and racing to the next corner just feels great. And it looks awesome on the Stream.
Speaking of the Stream, Sameer Arshad, Your Aston is completely black so I think your running a full custom skin??
Guys if you are running a custom paint job, upload it to the repository, that way Rob can install it on his PC so it will show on the stream. Just see HSR's Bentley's on the video.
And thanks for broadcasting it Rob, watching the race back on the TV so I can see what else happened outside my cockpit is just completing the fun.

I will see you all at the dreaded corkscrew.

For some reason i had in my head to do 3 stints. Just wanted to do something different, would allow a change to run more optimal tyres overnight, running less fuel weight. But running the full endurance pitlane just hurts. Even running a full tank doesnt give you that much extra flexibility. Decided to split the race into 3, took fuel only at the first stop then changed tyres on the second.
Maybe i could have finished 4th if i just did 1 stop but 6th wasn't too bad after the silly defensing driving early on that didn't really help either of us.

running anything else but equal 60min stints isnt really possible
