I was trying to get used to these cars on the server but while practicing a pitstop the game took over my car and I couldn't figure out how or why, and I couldn't get back in control again. Does anyone know what I did wrong or how to stop this from happening?

This has happened to me twice! In the pit menu its “swap driver” I have hit it by accident & AI takes over .. hit it again and do another stop & you will get control back! ;)

Race day PW is set on the champ page

    (no broadcast this round)
Due to the broadcast lag issues I will be racing in this one!

Q no high hopes. Just tweaking car for race strategy.

R Shame, game crash for me. I think good result was out there for a moment. Depending on how people would have pitted and tyres lasted.
Personally was going for 1 stopper. Had even tyrewear all around and full tank at start.
Tyres were going to last that 30minute stint nicely. Just a little temp control for left side of car.

This was my first race in the series. It went ok for the first 30 min, I then set the pit stop up for softs & gas but ran out of gas before I could get to the pits lol:rolleyes::D Fun race none the less! It was great battling with everyone!~!~:)

Same as Tony, game crashed. No replay so I don't know if I took anyone else out. Sorry if I did.

Lots of lag on lap one . I hit an invisible car and limped to pits to repair my car. By the time I came out of pits it was a case of trying to get out of the way for blue flags. I am definitely parking my wheel for good now so thanks for the races guys but I don't see me ever finding the speed to be competitive.
All the very best and thanks again

Imo the lag and warping was less before the latest server update.

Yes John I cannot commit the time to get any better or figure out why I am so slow. Find it frustrating and honestly it's time to give up. The guys on here are just too good.

It's been the same for me. Yesterdays server update was not from Reiza or for AMS2 servers, it was from Emperor servers & was updating their user interface, that is really nice BTW :)
The peer-to-peer net code of AMS2 is 100% reliant on the hosts & client's connections and has not changed or been updated in any of the ASMS2 updates ever! It's been a few years nowo_O. There are a few admins, me included, begging for reiza to please have a look at the net code over in the Reiza forums but its low on their list of things to do/look at ATM It's a shame because it's such a great game otherwise, that said i have been on public servers with 20+ drivers and had great mp experience without the lag issues we seem to always have:rolleyes: I think this is mostly due to us having players from all around the world joining the one server where on public servers you can look around and find one that you have a good ping on and it's all good... The way the AMS2 & PC2 server lists populate will put servers in your region up first as a priority, You have to keep refreshing to see more servers & these are the ones that you might not have the best connections to ...

Made a great setup of the car that was good on itself and in traffic. Qualified on pole but had a penalty after the start (probably jumpstart) but I thought I went ok on green. Had to do a drive through and could start from the rear of the field. The speed difference was great and I ran in the back of Gerard (sorry for that). Next lap I let him have his spot back instead of doing a drivethrough which takes like forever. So in the first few laps I was from in the lead to 50s down.

I did not spent a lot of time in figuring out if a 1 or 2 stop would be best but I knew 30 minutes of driving was almost a full fuel tank so I opted for a two stop strategy without any fuel consumption strategy.

I had a great race coming back through the field and because of the 2 stop strategy I had to do it twice. In the end I found myself back in 3rd 10s down from Mariusz and Gary... Saw that Gary had +10s behind his name, but I do not know if that is a penalty which is already calculated in the total time or not.

I had several big lag moments throughout the race hoping I would be still on track when the racing continues. Luckily that was the case.

    CU next time...

I think the driver turn up was also biggest in this series so far, so that also may have som impact.

Nooo, you are racing in a series where there are a lot of fast guys. You have to pick a series with people who drive on your level.
The fun begins when you are not driving alone, but are fighting with other guys who are as fast as you.
Look at a few result lists before you enter a new series to see if there are people there on your skill level.
