I have to pull out of this one ... early work day for me today .. GLA & see you in the next series!@ the Toyota GT-86 International Trophy
thanks for the race. congratulations to the winners of the championship. good luck and see you at the new races
Fun tight race with Donald ahead and Philipp closing in the corners. Got a run on Donald into the chicane and looked like i gave him room but his car moved like I tagged him. Also looking at the replay, it looked like about 2 feet between us when he started to spin.. What you think Donald..Netcode?
Great series, thank you all for joining. Grats to Julian for winning the championship and Roman for taking the victory tonight. Dont forget mates, this two guys are on a Worldclass Level at Pc2, watch their time trials. We can be proud to have them on board. We can watch and learn. Viktor said after the race, he loves that community, i join his point of view. Cu all in 2 weeks with the Toyota Gt
My high downforce set-up was perfect to drive behind a car I tried to drive with less wing, but I spun way too often. So the compromise was to push in the corners and use the slipstream to stay in contention. Just in case something happens in front. To be honest, from my point of view, you had a very good run on Brian who defended on the inside. It looked a bit weird how he went from right to left before the Inner Loop but I assume he was sure that Scott is too far behind for a move. What then happened looked like Scott braked a bit too late. I am not sure if there was contact or not, I was busy to avoid Brian, but as you were a bit laggy at the start and maybe in quali (I am not sure if I am the only one who saw a car literally taking off in quali and flying instead of driving?), so it likely was the netcode issue. Back to my race, after suddenly getting fresh air and losing the slipstream, I was in huge trouble. I had to find more time in the corners and a closing Brian was a great motivation help to pull that off. It cost me some sweat oof. Good races guys, it was unfortunate for you to finish the race behind a slower car. In conclusion, this series was weird because after a good start I had a ton of problems. It seems that I resolved my wheel problems by setting up a new OS (on an SSD instead of using an HDD) and using a more recent driver version. But with that the FFB feels odd, it has a deadzone or something where I cannot feel any FFB. It is driveable but it is more difficult than before to control the car. I have to try if that persists with other Sims.
I've really enjoyed this series and track combo, had a few Pc issues like all of us at some time or another which has been frustrating but I have really enjoyed it. Congrats to Roman on the race win, faultless race, I just couldn't keep up on the race pace you were doing, just kept losing a little bit , which is a shame because my race was a bit lonely. Congrats to Gerhard and Brian on great racing and consistency to get 2nd and 3rd in the championship brilliant job . I will also a completely agree with Victor , great community , great guys to race with , and lots of hard work by the Admins. Gerhard your a true champion for your promotion of PC2 in the community, and Ken and Rob for their promotion of the series at SRO. Sorry for Phillip having FFB problems , always annoying to try and sort out an issue that makes racing difficult, good luck in finding a solution , hope you do, and stay at PC2 Good luck to all in the next series ,I have to say I've had a crack in the Toyota and I really don't get on with it , strange car for me, however its always good to try and learn some new cars and tracks I might never drive. Cheers everyone and see you all at the next one. .
Thanks to everyone who supported this latest PC2 series, it makes it all worthwhile from an Admin viewpoint. We will continue to promote it here at SRO as long as we get enough members running, like we have done over the last 12-18 months.
Congrats to Julian for taking the Championship. ( great pace throughout the season ) Nice second place too Gerhard. Just the one point in it. A big thanks to Ken for putting it all together. The race for me was very enjoyable even though I was a good 3 secs off the pace. I managed to tail Ken for a few laps but Scott was right behind me so I had to defend which let Ken away. The incident at the chicane. I was trying break the tow to Scott and thought that I had so I moved left to take the chicane thinking Scott had too but looking back at the replay Scott was still on the inside and the slightest touch sent us off. I think it was my error of not knowing where Scott was and unfortunate for us both. It was still great racing and I'v really enjoyed racing with a great bunch of race drivers and looking forward to many more seasons racing alongside ( and sometimes in front of ) you all.
