    Mandatory pitstop

This event has a mandatory pitstop to change all 4 tires, just like the official series.
The pitstop window is between 35 and 25 minutes to go.

My Base to work from. Did 1.48.7 so far with it so good base.
Its slippery, try wings front 2 rear 16.
Play around with springs, softer or harder and check clock if its better or not. Allways compare to what clock says. Not how it feels.
Play around with antirollbars just like springs.
Allways keep an eye on tyre temps and wear while you drive.
    Brake balance is personal preference.

Setup is uploaded to the site: https://simracingonline.co.uk/carsetup/carSetupDownload/64

Toni can afford to give away all his secrets. You still have to get up pretty early to beat him LOL!

Well you still need to work for it.
lower wings 1 - 8 i felt were faster on 1st half of the lap and 2 - 16 on the second half.

    Thanks Toni.
I'm on 1/8 and fast but it's a suicide mission. Feels like my old 71 Firebird. You hit the gas and your rear is lighting up, hit the brakes and the car isn't stopping. I'll be lucky if I can get a top 5. o_O.

There is one more thing which is the key what comes to making setups or getting a good result in race.
You need to be consistent. That means driving lap after lap the same lap time with given car/setup/track. If you lap it with in couple tenths every time ( atleast under half a second ) you are good to go.
Else all your setup changes go to waste and cant tell wasit the setup or did you just got lucky.
Also when you do testing and practice, vyou should never push but aim for that consistency.
When you got that covered, can start push more since apparently you are feeling pretty confident in the car allready.
Allways think can you drive somepart of track faster and how to doit. Sometimes braking later works, sometimes sooner. You need to find it and need to want it.
Is lower gear faster or can i use higher gear.
Aim to shoot out of corners as soon as possible even if it means slower entry.
    Think couple turns ahead.
Look ahead. When you brake, your eyes look for apex allready and brain is allready processing exit and what comes next.

    Thats it!

John & Toni - Thank you for sharing your setups. Very much appreciated. Both give me better lap-times and a more drivable car than my own setup managed. Cheers.:).

    Drivers briefing

    1. This event will be broadcasted
    Broadcast team: EithaRacingTeam
    Broadcasters: Nassim, Lorenzo & Sameer
Twitch broadcast link: https://www . twitch . tv / eitharacing (delete the spaces)

    2. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    3. Brno Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course)
    2) Time acceleration is normal
    3) The race will be 100% dry

    4. Formation lap and rolling start.
Right after leaving the last corner, we double file in qual order. When the pole-sitter crosses the start line, the race begins.

    5. There is a mandatory PIT WINDOW to change all 4 tires between 35 and 25 minutes to go until the finish.
Even if you pitted before the pit window, you still have to pit during the pit window to change all 4 tires.

    6. The pole-sitter will do the formation lap approx. 120 km per hour.

    7. The server password will be changed on race day. You can find the password for the race server on the Brno.

    8. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    9. No-shows (keeping the entry list real)

If a driver does not show without unregistering for that event or letting us know that he can't make it on the event forum, he will be removed from the series.
If he is no longer interested in the series, it's fine like it is.
If he forgot about the event, he can sign up for the series again.

(You don't have to unregister for the whole series. You can unregister only for the event you can't do.)

    10. You can find the server by first typing sro

    11. Please use the same name in the rFactor 2 game as on our signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

    12. Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!

I cannot find the server in the internet list. No SRO---? I think this may be caused by the problems my Canadian service provider Rogers is still having.
I will keep trying up to qly. If I can't get on I guess it is just another early beer time.

Q Car felt weird and didnt turn into corners at all. Hadnt tried low fuel so figured ok what ever. But in race i found the problem...
R 1st lap ok then issues started. By brake wire little loose all the time and tried to fixit whole race and during pits. Wanted to esc but thought i gotta run some points for the team atleast.
My comfortable pace normally 1.48 mids and did that 1.47.9 with 70liters in tank so very gutted and feeling stupid.

Gz winner, podium and everyone else.

Good racing all. Grats to podium.

Q went well. I wasn't expecting much but when I kept 2nd, that was really good. Hit a lot of traffic for some odd reason. Also for some reason, during practice, the stall wouldn't let me out unless I crashed the car on the side wall. Left the server and hoped I would land in some other stall. I waited and came back. It did. Sucks whoever had that stall!

The race went well. Toni was fast. His race issues gave me the lead. From there, I drove her home. I was hoping for a top 5. So it went well.

The Vette is wild. Fine, fine, fine, and then snap, look at me drift! But the car does get me into the podiums so I'm ok with it. Go FKR! Anyways, noticed a lot of bumpers and wings on the track. Even seen to guys crash into each other. That was crazy. Good times.

    Johnny,

Great race everyone! Lots of action! rFactor 2(rFactor2.exe) Screenshot 2022.07.10 - 14.04.51.60.jpg

Congrats to the podium & FKR team mate Johnny G for the win!:D jgw.jpg

I had my PB in Q and put me 9th. I knew the car had good pace & it was up to me to squeeze it out of it! (JG's sets are the best in the west!:p)
The start went well as I found myself behind ACC series 2 GT3 champ Balli with Mike Volik behind me in the Aston. I knew I would have my hands full with Mike on my tail in that powerful beast so I was pushing once the tires warmed up to try & get a gap & ended with the wicked Vett snap that Johnny was talking about in the post above  I found myself in a power slide drift at the top of the hill in sector 3 ..
    rFactor 2(rFactor2.exe) Screenshot 2022.07.10 - 14.16.03.21.jpg
With no way to avoid it Mike & I collided which caused me some serious steering damage (sorry Mike :() rFactor 2(rFactor2.exe) Screenshot 2022.07.10 - 14.18.26.15.jpg
He looked like he was going to get away ok so i hope that didn't ruin his race..o_O
Dropping from 8th to 12th as traffic went by, I tried to continue but was unable to keep it on the road. After a slow painful lap, I pitted for repairs (48 seconds between repair & pit in/out) Once finished I found myself in 18th but at least the car was drivable:rolleyes: .. I knew the pit stops were coming & pushed hard to try & work my way up the grid.
Seen here taking 14th with 8th place Hightree in the GT40 on our tails, blue flag waving:eek: We let mark by on the next strait;) rFactor 2(rFactor2.exe) Screenshot 2022.07.10 - 14.36.11.13.jpg I eventually made my way back to finish 12th but definitely had the pace for a top 10 or better if not for the extra pit stop:(:D

It was great to see FKR team mate Dan Houk back in action after a year or so away from Sim racing :) sad to see he had issues early on with a blown engineo_O but he's back in the saddle :D rFactor 2(rFactor2.exe) Screenshot 2022.07.10 - 14.32.27.36.jpg Hope to see you all at the next one! :D
