Still had an "illegal pass" for a car that I did not overtake (last corner), so I had to give up my place.:(

Above all else the main thing that I take from today is my lack of spatial awareness. Forgetting about the problems with stuttering that I was having, I should have been aware that Barrett was going to be side by side with me through Malmedy even though he made a mistake into Les Combes. I'm really sorry, it was my mistake. Apart from that I loved the battle we were having, really clean up until that point.
    Full event review coming soon.

PS: It would be awesome if someone could share a replay file. Thanks in advance.

As always, a really enjoyable event hosted by SRO. And as always, I shot myself in the foot before the race had even begun! My start wasn’t bad; P7 by the end of Eau Rouge, but by the end of the Kemmel Straight I knew my race was basically done. I realised I’d forgotten to switch from ‘qually’ to ‘race’ setup (only differences are fuel and tyres). I had to pit almost immediately for fuel. Came out in last place and had managed to pick up a S&G (for pit lane speeding?). So straight back to the pits again. The ‘Stewards’ weren’t happy with my first S&G attempt and kindly gave me another chance to do it properly. Back to the pits, for the third time in eight laps! Had to pit for the mandatory stop, then a 5th stop for a ‘splash and dash’ just before the end of the race (stupid b****y CC’s rubbish fuel calculations!). Five visits to the pits in a one hour race!
Worst for me was I really needed ‘mediums’ but was stuck on ‘softs’. I was absolutely shredding through my fronts within just a few laps. It didn’t matter how much I screamed at ‘Crew Chief’, he just didn’t understand. Stupid b*****d. My fault, of course. I’ve found out I need to start another piece of software which allows CC to 'hear' better (can’t remember its name at the moment) and of course I hadn’t started it.
    Lessons learned. I hope.:)
Congrats to Johnny (who must have more wins than Lewis Hamilton) and to the other podium winners. Looking forward to watching the replay of Eitha Racing Team’s broadcast.
    o_ORoll on Portugal.;)

No-shows (keeping the entry list real)

If a driver does not show without unregistering for that event or letting us know that he can't make it on the event forum, he will be removed from the series.
If he is no longer interested in the series, it's fine like it is.
If he forgot about the event, he can sign up for the series again.

The following driver has been removed as a no-show:
    - Joe Pinder

That all reminds me of Allen Prost at Donington 1993, but he still had more then you ...

Btw, what are you doing with my sister on the roof of your car?! I didn't know you both had become romantically involved?

I wondered why you slowed down? Was that from game requesting you slow? I was ready for a nice little race into T1 and rest of lap, game spoiled a good race between us!

Good racing all. Congrats to Phil and John for the podium. Thank you to the three broadcasters and EithaRacingTeam. You guys do excellent work. You guys bring the race up to another level with your broadcasting. We all enjoy it very much.

Practiced a few days before. I didn't think I'd finish in the top five. Everyone was fast. I was a little irritated with the Vette as it was just tough to practice with. I had wing 1/7. I know it's low, but that's the only way I kept up with everyone. The suspension setup was also a bit low as well. It was either raise the car up and be fast down Eau Rouge but slower in the corners OR lower the car, slower down Eau Rouge and giving me speed for the rest of the track. Hoping I don't go too fast and bottom out/bounce out. I gambled chose to lower the suspension.

Qualifying. I was surprised to have podium. I was just waiting for someone to snatch it. I don't think I had any business being up there but it worked.

Race. It went well. Toni was on me from the start. He was pacing me. Always within 2 seconds of each other. After his outing with Eau Rouge, I decided to relax a bit. When I did, I almost lost it in Eau Rouge. The car started sliding around corners. The rear became loose, I was forgetting how the car would react when downshifting and felt I couldn't really control the car while being relaxed. Felt like I was juggling the car around the track. So I hit the gas, stopped the relaxation and the car came back to life. I think it was stupid just to relax like that. I should have gradually relaxed over time. Scary stuff.

    Anyways, long winded post...again.

Cheers guys. Always fun racing with everyone here. :) Hope to see everyone and more at the next race.

    Johnny,

Edit: Thank you John, Miguel and Nick for telling us about your race at the broadcasting. Very enjoyable. I'd show up but I'm a chicken shit.

Just finished watching another excellent broadcast from EithaRacingTeam. Brilliant work guys, I love the little gems of info you drop on us about the circuits and the cars we’re driving.
So, final score: SRO 9 - Eau Rouge 6 :) (Six poor souls swallowed up into the Shadow Realm )
Congrats to @Johnny Gutierrez, @Phil Brown and @John vd Geest for the podium positions. Another impressive front of the grid, to top of the podium drive from Johnny.
Absolutely loved that riveting battle between @Barrett Erickson and @Miguel Santos. Shame to see it end. Some great driving there Barrett and that back-of-the-grid to P4 charge from Miguel was a joy to watch.
    Good race.
