Setup download There is a pretty good setup for the Alfa Romeo 155 from Barrett Erickson in the Car Setups section. Or just download it here: https://simracingonline.co.uk/carsetup/carSetupDownload/65
Drivers briefing 1. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time: 1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall. 2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane. If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track. 2. Barcelona Conditions 1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course) 2) Time acceleration is normal 3) The race will be 100% dry 4) Damage is 100% 5) There is no TC or ABS 3. Standing start. The race starts at the green light. No formationlap. 4. There is a mandatory pitstop to change all 4 tires. There is NO pit window. You can stop whenever you like. 5. The server password will be changed on race day. You can find the password for the race server on the Barcelona. 6. Unregistering in time if you can't make it. 7. You can find the server by first typing sro 8. Please use the same name in the rFactor 2 game as on our signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing. 9. Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race! *************************************************** If you have questions, please ask them below.
Well.. I am kinda new to rF2 and after i solved my problem that couldnt join the online server ( i reinstall the game), finaly yesterday i joined the server for tonights race.. I really dont know if this is happening only to myself, but after a couple of laps i had a major problem with my front left tire, actually it was dead and i was running with cords.. Every 10 laps or so, with my driving style and setup, i will defenetly need a couple of pits lol for tire change and obviously i will need at least a pit for refuel i think.. Its very demanding, my lap times are not competetive at all and i think i will finish last.. But i will take the challenge, i need to learn
Yeah, for me as well. It will probably be a 2 stopper for tires. Melbourne was ok on tires. Cleveland was almost 2 stops.
Congrats Toni for the win! Congrats Caitlin for podium position! Good fun all. Lost one position. Not bad. Still all good. With not even half the race passing, I already at 3% left front. I noticed when Caitlin and I were disappearing from the pack, I new something was wrong. Something was totally wrong. Then I could see the pack slowing coming back. "It was right at this very moment, Johnny new he had f@^& (!" Second stint, I had almost 60% left in the front left. First stint, I'm tearing the tires up. Second stint, I'm covering them with a blanket and giving them their bottle of milk. Good racing Neil. I could see him lurking. I was waiting for the ambush lol. Good times. Later peeps, Johnny,
I shot off the line like a rocket which surprised me. I think I carried too much wing to get anywhere close to people on the straight. First stint I tried to stay in touch with the front two but just didn't have the pace. Even after working out the fuel load before the race start, I had so many arguments with my crew chief during the race. It had been so long since I last raced and I forgot all buttons for pitting and such. I got past a wounded Johnny and pitted for tyres. I completely missed my pitstall and had to reverse back so probably lost 15 extra seconds or so! I probably would have maintained 3rd if I hadn't messed that up. More arguments with crew chief continued and I was to find out I short filled. I lifted and coasted behind Johnny but I was still going to be 1 lap short. I took so long to figure out that I wanted to do and lost so much time fiddling with buttons and talking to the crew chief who couldn't understand a word I said. Pitted a second time but didn't give myself enough time to get back up to the 4th place I was in. I just needed 1 more lap!! Not looking forward to Long Beach... hate that track.
I dont have much to say about the race itself, my honestly apologize to Johny when he tried to pass me. That time i was running with cords and having massive understeer everywhere. i was about to pit and really i didnt see him coming with fresh tires. I am new at rF2, i still trying to sort things out, like buttons etc... My crew chief app didnt work and i still searching to find out if there is a virtual mirror on.. Actually i was a bit blind i couldnt see behind me and when i was about to turn, i had an understeer again and it was looked like i blocked Johnny. Even if it was a battle for position, it was nosense for me to keep both guys behind me, if i had a mirror and could see them i would just back off and let them both by.. It was not on purpose, i am sorry again.. At my first stint i roasted my tires early when chasing Rocco and after the incident with Johny i was frustrated with my self and was just circling around.. Even that, everyone was much faster than me seems there is a lot work to do with things at rF2, setup etc for being more competetive. Btw the car is fun to drive until next one take care all Edit, congrats to Toni for the win Caitlin for second and Johny for third place and of course to everyone who raced tonight Special thanks to Rob for broadcasting and pronounces my first name correct !
I crashed into the pit entry wall when making my first pitstop. Didn't take the worn tires into account. Had some pretty big damage and repair would take 605 seconds! That's 10 minutes, so I press Esc. and decided to watch the action instead.
In rF2 the top number keys on your keyboard are default to some things including the virtual mirrors ! I think they are number 3 you can cycle them to have all mirrors off or on ,one v-mirror ,or 3 v mirrors! check it out ..these also control things like the hud info box's & the position bar ! I'm' glad I got your first name right but what about your last name?? LOL i need some help with that one haha
there's also a setting under the "Graphics" tab that turns mirrors on and off. also an entry in the player.json file you can check: "Rearview Driving":1, "Rearview Driving#":"0=Off, 1=Center+Sides, 2=Center, 3=Sides (virtual mirrors only, in-car mirrors are on\/off), applies to nosecam, cockpit, and TV cockpit",
Thatnks Barrett, Also, rFactor 2 acts weird sometimes and turns all my mirrors off without even touching a key so I can't see who's behind me during a race anymore. I have a hot key mapped out now.
Finally cut my stream for the race. Think I need to adjust volume for the trackside cam Vs cockpit. Heart rate monitor did it's job!!! Twitch Vod
Thanks Rob i will check it defenetly Last name iis just ok, even if it spelling with the tone at last A, it's Douman'as not Doum'anas, but its ok with me
I have turned them on already Barret and i ahave no mirrors.. I will try Rob's advice and if it doessn't work i will go to the player.json file settings.. Thanks again...
