WELCOME TO ROUND 4 Long Beach

 

Hi guys & gals! Due to a PC issue, I had to reinstall windows without being able to save any of my settings or files = crash & burn caused by a faulty keyboard, that said I lost all my OBS broadcast tools/folders & rf2 overlays. Everything !!! All I had built & learned over the last few months of broadcasting is gone so I won't be broadcasting tomorrow's race at long beach as I just don't have the time to rebuild/remember everything in time ..
I just got my PC up & running today and now I'm reinstalling everything like all my games & such ... With any luck, I will be able to get rF2 up & running to race in this round though!

 

Thanks for the heads up Barrett. I will test it out and if need be set the track limits to zero.

 

That sucks man. It's a lot of work.
No problem on the missed broadcast man. We are very happy with the broadcasts you've done so far, which were all just great!

 

Drivers briefing

1. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

2. Long Beach Conditions
1) The race will start at 04:00 PM (in-game time of course)
2) Time acceleration is normal
3) The race will be 100% dry
4) Damage is 100%
5) There is no TC or ABS
6) Track limits = 0 (that means your lap may still be invalid, but you will get no track-limit points)

3. Standing start.
The race starts at the green light. No formationlap.

4. There is a mandatory pitstop to change all 4 tires.
There is NO pit window. You can stop whenever you like.

5. The server password will be changed on race day. You can find the password for the race server on the event page Long Beach.

6. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

7. You can find the server by first typing sro

8. Please use the same (real) name in the rFactor 2 game as on our signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

Done. In-game time is now 04:00 PM. It's not as bright anymore.

My sincere appologies to all.
Setting the cut-track points to zero is the equivalent of giving an instant penalty. I didn't realize that until I got 2 immediate drive-throughs in the race.
Like Johnny said ... live and learn.
