WELCOME TO ROUND 5 AT SAO PAULO

The 2010 FIA GT1 Interlagos round is an auto racing event held at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, São Paulo, Brazil on 27–28 November 2010, and served as the ninth round of the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship season. The event shared the weekend with the final round of the Brazilian GT Championship. The All-Brazilian pairing of Enrique Bernoldi and Alexandre Negrão of the Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati earned pole position. The Young Driver AMR partnership of Tomáš Enge and Darren Turner took the checkered flag in the Qualifying Race by overtaking the Maserati of Bernoldi and Negrão during the pit-stops.

    Mandatory pitstop

This event has a mandatory pitstop to change all 4 tires, just like the official series.
The pitstop window is between 35 and 25 minutes to go.

We have come to the final round of this series. And even though it's the holiday season, we've had good numbers in participation.
The level of driving has also been very impressive for a car that has no TC or ABS and a tendency to oversteer if pressed hard into the ground in highspeed corners like Eau Rouge.

Nevertheless, Sim Racing Online thanks each and everyone who has taken part in this series and we hope to see you again in another series.

Well my holidays are done for. Maybe race goes better now since no time to test at all.
Reason i stopped practicing years ago. "More you doit, higher the chance that something goes bad." "More beer, smoother the race." And so on.
You can use those if add quote with " -unknown Finnish racer". I think it fits to all of us :D

Same goes for me, except for the beer. If I practise a week before, I forget everything that I've learned and I also don't have the build-up rhythm anymore.
Better to just do some practise 30 minutes before qual so you keep your rhythm for the race.

I just assembled my kit and await the RF2 up dates. I think I will do a few laps. :) I moved into the country and I am on a land line, DSL. Used to work pretty good at my old place. Hope it does here to. I have nearly recovered from the move and hope I don't fall asleep mid race in the pit stop.. Cheers.
Check out Gille drinking from the bottle with Enzo, different times.

    Drivers briefing

    1. This event will be broadcasted
    Broadcast team: EithaRacingTeam
    Broadcasters: Nassim, Lorenzo & Sameer
Twitch broadcast link: https://www . twitch . tv / eitharacing (delete the spaces)

    2. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    3. Sao Paulo Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course)
    2) Time acceleration is normal
    3) The race will be 100% dry
    4) Cut Track points are set to 7

    4. Formation lap and rolling start.
Right after leaving the last corner, we double file in qual order. When the pole-sitter crosses the start line, the race begins.

    5. There is a mandatory PIT WINDOW to change all 4 tires between 35 and 25 minutes to go until the finish.
Even if you pitted before the pit window, you still have to pit during the pit window to change all 4 tires.
There is no margin. There is a drive-through penalty for the next event or a 30-second time penalty, even if you are 1 second early or late.

    6. The pole-sitter will do the formation lap approx. 120 km per hour.

    7. The server password will be changed on race day. You can find the password for the race server on the Sao Paulo event page.

    8. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    9. No-shows (keeping the entry list real)

If a driver does not show without unregistering for that event or letting us know that he can't make it on the event forum, he will be removed from the series.
If he is no longer interested in the series, it's fine like it is.
If he forgot about the event, he can sign up for the series again.

(You don't have to unregister for the whole series. You can unregister only for the event you can't do.)

    10. You can find the server by first typing sro

    11. Please use the same name in the rFactor 2 game as on our signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

    12. Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!

Are you using rF2's 'release candidate'?
You need to be on version 1130 rather than 1128.
    Hope this helps.

I wouldn't have gone further than the end of the straight!!!...:(
Thanks to @Paul Upham for taking me out so quickly when I had just passed him!
I was hoping for a slightly longer race, even at the back of the pack...

Sorry Christian. I Watched the replay, you did try to cover the inside line after the pass , rightfully so, but i was also having some slight understeer and bumped your back corner. I will take the blame on that one as I would have covered the line also. Very big sorry for that.

Tough race. Hadnt touched my wheel and shitty pedals for 2 weeks. Got the car running but had to put big deadzone to brakes so its was too on off for my taste.
Still sometimes i lost speed so maybe there was little issue going on still.
Ok, win, dont feel like it, but sometimes you get it free.

yes, watching the broadcast, i took shitload of fuel on pits rofl

Sorry to hear that Nuno, especially if it meant you missed tonight's race. There's some smart people in SRO who will be able to get you back online. Unfortunately I'm not one of them, but I'm sure someone will step up soon and get you sorted. Best of luck.

Grats to Toni on the win. Congrats to the broadcasting team. It's always fun listen to them.. Congrats to everyone that showed up and raced.

Qualifying went pretty good. Qualified 4th. In a sea of girl cars. I mean Fords. Sorry, sometimes my fingers type weird things.

Race started and I was behind Nick. He put up a good race. The arrow wash, when I would get close, I would just wash out. Not much I could do about that but just stay behind. He pitted and I did one lap and then I pitted. I came out about 7 to 8 seconds ahead. When I saw Nick pit, I feel like he kind of fumbled around the entrance and I think that might have lost him a few second? Also, when I had a clear track, right before my pit, maybe I gained a few there. I don't know. Either way, it was fun racing. Sorry to what happened to Miguel. Dude was on a mission. I don't think it was a connection issue. It might have just been the Ford. Or as they say, Fix Or rRepair Daily. Kidding aside, Miguel's the type to just come back stronger.

Thanks to my teammate Rob. Great guy and a great teammate finishing in the points!

Thank you John for another great experience in this series.

And not to peep my own horn but, this champion was kicking some booty! Corvette, you did right.:D
