I may miss COTA. I have been looking for sayings that cover the last little while. Born Under a Bad Sign….If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all. To finish first, first you have to finish. The best laid plans of mice and men. ….. Yesterday my friend drove me to the big city and I brought my computer to the computer guy and hope he fixes it before the next race at COTA. Seems that last week’s very large storm that rolled through from the south somehow affected a hard drive to fail or a stupid coincidence? Even if he does fix it I may not be able to go get it. 30 days ago I brought my car in to replace the transfer case. Job done with a bit of a hiccup. They started a fire with a torch that burned through the interior as well as the wire bundle. They tried to fix it but gave up. Cars toast so to speak. Looking for a new used car. Also the storm caused some damage so I have had 2 carpenters under foot. They are as rare as hen’s teeth so I assigned more work. I would go on a holiday but that doesn’t excite me. I am retired and have been on a holiday for years. I miss my sim cars. I am left to wander the woods with 2 cats in tow. We travel well together. They always stop to investigate something and I always stop to take a picture.
You're not born under a bad sign at all with 2 cats who love you. I would love to have cats, but my wife wants nothing to do with them. LUCKY YOU!! Shame about the car, though ... Did they pay you for the damage they did?
They have decided that their insurance company's deductable cost more than the car so they are replacing it with a 3 year newer one. Sounds good but I have not had a car in 4 weeks ans I live a wee bit off in the woods. Not happy but happy.
I HAD ..., a few friends who helped out. They don't answer their phones anymore!? Just kidding but It is great to have helpful friends. I just got an email from the computer guy and the machine is fixed and ready to pick up. Now all I have left is to find someone to lend me their car for 4 hours. Life in the fast lanes. Things are looking up
