Sorry, I will miss this first round. My mother has some very serious health issue and I must stay with here in the hospital.
If everything goes right I will be here for the second race

Hello everyone! I don't have that much experience with GT4 cars. My feeling tells me that the behavior of the car is not normal. Especially on the straight line at high speed (max downforce) with the smallest steering movements. It feels like the rear of the car is floating. And the steering ratio is very sharp. I'm curious whether that's the car or whether my FFB settings are wrong. Do you think the physics of the car are normal?

From the information about this mod and its development that Rob posted https://simracingonline.co.uk/threads/porsche-sprint-challenge-gb-series-info.37225/ it looks like a well developed mod I think, although I have yet to do a serious session in it.
I would suspect that you may need to play around with your steering settings to provide more degrees of movement on the wheel, which should make it less sensitive. But then compared to a driver of your skill and experience Kiril, what do I know :D

I tried, but the steering ratio it is limited by the car. If somebody knows how to change that, please let me know. My experience in rF2 is very limited, Ken ;)

What kind of wheel do you have? Do you use the wheels driver software for settings?
Try playing with the "Steering Settings" in RF2 calibrate controls. Turn off the "Range set by vehicle" option.

I have the Thrustmaster T150. It is set to 900° in the software. But the car is limited on 504° and I can not overwrite this I think. Normally is 504° not so little, but the car reacts very sharply for my feeling to the smallest steering movements. Especially on the straight line. Try the car first and then we can talk ;)

tried adjusting steering ratio in setup?

Run a few laps and made these adjustments to my RF2 steering settings which improved, but didn't completely eradicate that high-speed oversteer feeling. Only default setup though so some changes there would also help with further testing.

    Driver wheel rotation = 630
Rotation limit mode = Device Driver
Range set by vehicle = off
    Steering wheel range = 630

You could also try changing the Steering sensitivity value e.g. maybe 5% to start with and see how that changes things

Neil if you mean the Chassis\Wheel Range Lock value it is set by the mod to maximum 504/19

On the one hand, I am very happy that there are so many of us tomorrow. On the other hand, I have a bit of worries about how the connection/server will work. Yesterday we were 5 people on the server and the car in front of me was lagging :( Is that from the track model that I have short freeze moments if I hit the high curbs? Do you have that too?

Any lag is more than likely due to to issues with the client/server connection for the specific car rather than a track issue.

Had exactly the same problem on the last corner on to the straight if I hit it too hard:(, I've finally upgraded my graphics card from my RTX 2060 to a RTX4070 and had the same problem, I was originally thinking it was my GPU but it done it on both. don't hit the curbs hard lol :D

That's very weird as I've never encountered or heard of something like that causing freezes o_O

Yeh strange only seem to get it in RF2 but I've only just started, so cant say its happened at other tracks but will monitor it, but it only happens when you clobber a curb and it lifts the car up sharply, note to self, don't hit the curbs hard:D

I wonder if it could be something to do with the GFX lighting/shading/shadows changing when the underside of the car is lifted higher? Just an idea.
