rFactor 2 Round 1 Silverstone 2012

Fun race in the end. At the start I just wanted to stay out of trouble but, driving in a straight line off the start, I had someone do a cop take down spin in to the wall! my car drove the rest of the race like the rear had trolley cart wheels on it. lol Would have been nice to make it to the first corner with been put in the wall. I did have a fun race at the back but it is a very hard race when you have no control of the back end.

I think this is going to be a close fun series if we can make it away cleanly. Congratulations to the Podium!

Apologies, wheel issues again so couldn't join. Yet another RMA now, so I may not make the next race either .

 

I was having a lot of fun until my screen began flickering, then a few full stops. I decided not to be a problem for those following me and quit. I believe I have everything on full in my graphic setting. I was experimenting and forgot to reset them to a lower setting.
It was great to see so many drivers present. I had a few guys to compete with which is a lot more fun than circling.

A great race with 26 starters.
Hope so we see the same drivers in the second race.

I had many problems with the car but place 16 is great for me.
Congratulations for first three drivers and many respect for the disciplin in the whole field of drivers.

In the race I cannot see the driver labels above the cars even though this option is active. When I watch other drivers, the names are shown.
Does somebody has any idea?

guys, is there any radar application/plugin you would revommend? (usable in VR) It is quite handy to avoid collisons. I couldn't see much in right mirror and it was kind of lottery when someone was trying to overtake me from right side. It is already some time when I was racing in RF2 so I don't even remember if I had any before

 

I definitely moved, but had to swerve hard left to avoid two cars coming together in front.

 

I'd recommend the spotter with crew chief.

Oh and btw... your custom paintjob was causing clients joined to the server to have gmotor errors which sometimes tabbed out of our games.

 

hi Neil - any chance to recall what that gmotor error was about? I already spoke to Ken. I'll recreate the skin to be smaller and test it before the race. In case of troubles, I'll just use any stock skin.

 

I know in the old Race 07 any custom skin had to reside on the host server so all would get the same view. We do not have your custom skin in our skins so it causes the error. I am not sure if it is the same for AC but it would make sense.

 

I can't remember exactly, something about a bmp... but I was too busy trying to get rid of the error box and get control of my game again (it paused in the headset).

I had the same issue in the past (not so distant past tough)
For me setting the post effects to None or Low solve it (in rFactor2 Graphics Configuration before starting the game)

I use the low settings and i can see the labels.
