It's a year since we ran an open wheel AC series, so I was wondering if for our next series we go that route or stick with a touring car e.g. Abarth500/JCW Mini. Let me have your vote quickly so I can get it setup.
Any idea on what type of open wheeler you're considering Ken? I think you recently ran the Formula Abarths from memory (I think I had to miss that one, very annoying as they seem to give good racing). Are you thinking down the lines of Formula Ford/RSS 1990/79 the F5000's or something more classic? From memory the Abarths are good fun but didn't attract many drivers, I would imagine the Mini's to have the same degree of attraction

I was thinking of the RSS4, something simple & uncomplicated & not too powerful. I don't want to scare off our limited group of AC supporters
The ATCC mod is one of the worst made mods I've ever had the misfortune of trying. We ran it on THR recently and it was utter crap. The mirrors didn't work in half the cars, terrible physics, even more terrible sounds. just... terrible The 2CVs would probably give great racing if the mod is any good (I know someone who races them for real I can ask), but the question remains as to whether people would actually turn up for them.
Thanks for all you comments guys, but the Poll was basically to establish if we go open-wheel or not for the next series. Due to my recent absence, time isn't available to test several mods before the due start date of 6th March. The votes so far are looking towards an open-wheel series, so I'm thinking it will be RSS 4.
I've just had a go in the RSS4. Sounds nicer than the Abarth. Tires have a very short life so you'll either be looking at pit stops or a double header event structure. My only real gripe is that I miss having a sequential stick
Open wheel series it is by one vote. https://simracingonline.co.uk/threads/adac-formula-4-series-info.40333/ Apologies for the delay in getting the series up and ready for registration.
