This series will have real weather of the day ... So far so good ...
If it rains, we'll have to put the damage to minus -50% :D

We will race ingame time from 13:20 tot 14:20 PM.
If there is variable weather information available for the one hour we race in, I will put in into the server settings.

    Qual starts at 19:00 GMT.
21:20 is the start of the race calculated to your own local time zone. So qual in your time zone is also 21:00.

The track limits detector seems to be a little over zealous at this track, for example I gently brushed the wall on the exit of the tunnel and got a track limits violation, I also went around the bollard after the tunnel without knocking it over and also got a track limits violation, maybe it needs turning down a little.

    Hi Nick,
I can't change the setting for the track. Those are programmed in by the creator.
But you can't take a lot of liberties on this track, that's true. However, driving within the track limits, I did not encounter any problems myself.

i guess i'll just have to be ultra careful , it will be a miracle if I can do 60 mins without a violation

Track limit warnings points are set to 10, so you'll have a lot of wiggling room.

I have just installed the car and track, but when i try to log onto the server i get an error message:
error trying to install mod. Try manual installation.
but the car/track combo works in single player mode. anyone else had this problem?

    Drivers briefing

    1. All 6 events of this series will be broadcasted

    Broadcaster: Rob Milliken
    Broadcast channel: SimRacingOnline

    2. Monaco event Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course)
    2) Time acceleration is normal. Fuel and Tires are set to normal.
    3) Cut Track points are set to 10
    4) This race has 50% damage (only for the Monaco event, the rest of the series is 100% damage)
    5) There is no mandatory pitstop
    6) This event has a STANDING start.
    7) The duration of the race is 60 minutes

    3. Raceday weather conditions

The server is set for real-world weather conditions as they are today June 25 in Monaco.
    1. Sunny 26 degrees with light cloud cover
    2. Humidity 60%
    3. Wind 9 km/h South

    4. Qualification procedure
    1) The Qual time will be 15 minutes in total.
    2) Chat is not allowed during Qual.

    5. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    6. You can find the password for the race server on the Monaco event page.

    7. You can find the server by first typing sro

    8. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    9. No-shows (keeping the entry list real)

If a driver does not show without unregistering for that event or letting us know that he can't make it on the event forum, he will be removed from the series.
If he is no longer interested in the series, it's fine like it is.
If he forgot about the event, he can sign up for the series again.

(You don't have to unregister for the whole series. You can unregister only for the event you can't do.)

    10. Please use the same name in the rFactor 2 game as on our signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

    11. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.
Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!
