I believe Phillip said something about lag too. I didn't notice it. Maybe at the time there was no car near me.

I didn't notice anything odd regarding lag etc. but hopefully it wasn't too bad for those affected. I was more concerned that Ed got a D/T for a jump start and then couldn't clear it after multiple pitlane visits :mad:

I have "all relevant" on tape

First, the lag incident, during the race I was not sure what happened. I was scared as Phil suddenly appeared in front of me twice and then spun into the gras. Replay shows not much, but I think we are both innocent here. Apart from that, not much harm done I think.
Second, no judgement about some moves my video shows (difficult, narrow track) but the sticky guardrails are also concerning. It seems the track is a bit buggy.

To my race, quali was quite ok. I needed a while to find my rythm, only in my last quali lap I was able to beat my PB from practice yesterday. Start was also ok, but then I nearly spun at the second of the two 90 degree chicanes. My initial thought was, someone hit me from behind. But that was a misconception, the replay shows no contact, I hit the curb too hard. Not the only weird incident there, some laps later Ken had an odd off. I was so baffled that I nearly forgot to steer

From that on I found my rythm and tried to keep it under control, even though Phil Brown was slowly catching me. He was really close going into the last lap and I was a bit worried that the lag reappears. It did not reappear, but in the penultimate curve I suddenly found myself stuck in the guardrail. I had a bit help there, first to get stuck there and to get free again :D
Thanks Phil, I am not sure if everybody would have the awareness to wait and to know what to do. And yeah, its a bit funny too.

Congrats to both winners or the top two, mega pace. Also thanks for the race on this track. Here I had one of my first race2play races (rf1, WTCC BMW E90). It is not the same anymore, but we got close.

See you at the last round.

    So my race...

As I had no idea that I would be able to take part in this race and having to run an important race in my own League the day before all my practice time went to preparing for that race.
Anyway, about 90 minutes before the start of quali I was sure I could do the race. Problem was, zero preparation
I had no setup to go with so in practice I started with the stock setup. Not really bad, but too slow compared to Kiril and Phil's times. I improved the setup bit by bit, and just when I was trying the Knockhill setup with some minor changes practice time was up.
    Quali:
The plan was to set a banker lap first and then take risks to see how close to pole I could get. The banker lap saw me as fasted for a couple of minutes, but then Kiril opened up the Alien can and I was nowhere again :( Pride as at stake here, so I gave it all me and the car had in them. Fell short by about 0.2 sec I believe. Still not to bad.
    Race:
The plan was to follow Kiril as good as I could knowing he had the pace to win. But then at the start my fingers twitched on the gear paddle launching the car at the exact moment the lights went off. If I had twitched maybe 0.001 sec earlier it would have been a drivethrough.
So after the first lap I had a nice 1 sec lead, but then Kiril started coming back at me. I kept him behind me for a few laps. Racing was close and he even ran in the back of me a few times (no harm done). Then on lap 5 or 6 I ran a bit wide on the 2nd corner, went on the grass and lost the lead. From then on I was playing catch up. Since I never give up I was taking big risks just to keep up and slowly started to close the gap. I was trying to get close enough that if and when he would make a mistake I would be there to take advantage of that. It was not to be :(
On the last few laps I was closing in rapidly, but I think he was controlling the pace as not to make a mistake. Nothing I could do, but I'm still happy with the result after having virtually no preparation for this race.
Well doen Kiril on the win. You were simply to fast for me this time.

I wondered what happened to you guys when I saw your dots on the track view showing you both almost not moving o_O. I half-thought you had both run out of fuel :D

Unfortunately I missed one race in this series, but in all the others I had to push hard for 45 minutes. Of course @Roy Cop is to blame for this :D Very strong racing pace. The last race was of course no different. I managed the pace a bit after Roy's first mistake. But at the end of the race I still have the disadvantage of running out of tires. Maybe Roy wants to reveal the secret at the end of the season and tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have uploaded my race setup from the last race. Thanks for the exciting races. Till next one ;)
