Here, in the UK's anus, we're lucky to have roads, never mind an FIA Grade 1 circuit. And Eddie! Huh! He was never in it for the trophies - only the money.
But Ireland has (had) a long and illustrious history of hosting Grand Prix. Just not for a while now....
'The Irish International Grand Prix' was held in Dublin (Phoenix Park) from 1929 to 1931 - mostly dominated by Alfa Romeo and Mercedes (I saw my first ever 4 wheel race there - Formula 5000).
Here in the North we had 'The Ards TT'. Not actually a GP, but it attracted the biggest names in the sport at the time. Carraciola won it in 1929, Nuvolari in 1930 and 1933. It also attracted the biggest audiences - 500,000 spectators - when was the last time a modern day GP pulled in half-a-million punters?
But over here it's more about two wheels than four. You might have heard of 'The Ulster Grand Prix', held at Dundrod and recognized as the fastest road race in the world - started in 1922 and still going (when we can raise enough money to satisfy the thieving bastards that insure the event). Former winners include Mike Hailwood, John Surtees, Giacomo Agostini and Joey Dunlop.
You might also have heard of 'The North West 200' (1929 and still going strong despite the insurers best efforts) and of course we've given the world Dunlop Tyres, Paddy Hopkirk, Michael Dunlop (25 Isle of Man TT wins, second only to his uncle Joey with 26 wins) and lets not forget Jonathan Rea - 6 times World Superbike Champion (so far).
But of course the soapbox thing looks good too . . .

    :D(Thank you Wikipedia):D

    Drivers briefing

First of all ... Please make sure that you are in the 2023 car and NOT the 2022 car.

    1. All 7 events of this series will be broadcasted
    Broadcast team: EithaRacingTeam
    Broadcasters: Lorenzo, Sameer & Ricardo
Twitch broadcast link: https://www . twitch . tv / eitharacing (delete the spaces)
Or go to the headlines on top of the homepage on race day.

    2. Spa Francorshamps event Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course)
    2) Time acceleration is normal. Fuel and Tires are set to normal.
    3) Cut Track points are set to 10
    4) 100% damage
    5) You have to change to a different tire compound (soft/medium/hard) at least once during the race.
    6) This event has a Formation lap with a standing start

    3. Real F1 Raceday weather conditions apply
We will simulate, as best as the server allows, the weather conditions as they were at the actual F1 event.
The race will be dry and partially cloudy.

    4. Qualification procedure
    1) You do not have to start the race on the same tire that you qualified with.
    2) The Qual time will be 15 minutes in total.
    3) Chat is not allowed during Qual.

    5. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    6. You can find the password for the race server on the Spa Francorshamps event page.
Check the driver / team list below to see what car you are assigned to.

    7. You can find the server by first typing sro

    8. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    9. Please use the
same name in the rFactor 2 game as on our signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

    10. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.
Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!

Since there are no red lights for this event, you do not have to confirm that you will race.

Yes, people who are in and out of the series get the cars that are free. Only guys who do every event keep the same car.

    Oops. Well, that's 'odd' o_O

I'd signed up for this series prior to Round 1, but was red lighted at the time because the grid was full. At that point, and knowing I couldn't make all the races anyways, I unregistered...or, at least I thought I did. Now I log back in for the first time in a few weeks and I come in here to ask if perhaps there was a space on the grid I could take today, only to realize I'm already signed up and am part of the grid :D

Ok then, I guess I better get to practicing

@John vd Geest , is there a particular car I should use today? I have no been on grid, obviously, and would rather ask than try to go through one by one and find out which rides are available....ty in advance.

I'm watching the race, it's impossible that the second one crashes because of a lapped car

 big frustration...7th in grid and then... put out of the race, at the beggining, at eau rouge, by a clearly unsportsmanlike manoeuvre...

That's nothing Paulo I have been nearly killed twice in the same race. I await the replay the last one was cool.o_O

I was in tenth racing the guy in eleventh. I never will have the intention of giving anyone an easy pass and loose a place. You can observe that I did not change my driving line I never changed my line you did. Blue flags are not an order. In the last two races I have been hit 3 times and DNF'd twice. Too much uncontrolled aggression I think.
