I bought WRC 7 yesterday on Steam after looking over some gameplay and reviews on YouTube. Didn't regret it for a moment. I had a blast man! Looks like the producers of WRC 7 have jumped on the hype wagon of Dirt Rally where it was clear that the fans wanted the stages to be more realistic where the former WRC games stages were as wide as a landingstrip for a Boeing 747. And they succeded! The stages are sometimes so narrow that the cars barrely fit on the road. The phisics are also more leaning towards a sim-feeling now. Not quite as good as Dirt Rally, but not far off either. I would say they are semi-realistic. There are 13 events witch each have 4 stages. Half of the stages are quite a bit longer then previous WRC games. Some are even very, VERY long. There is a stage in Poland that is 23.18 km long !! You will take around 15 minutes to complete it. Grafics wise the stages are also very pretty and look much better then Dirt 4. And they have a lot of variety in them. It really feels like you're going somewhere. For any rally fan a must have !!
Well, although this game is on the sim-side of things, it's not as brutally difficult as Richard Burns Rally. That game was exceptionally difficult. With some practise you will have a pretty good time with WRC 7. For now, I don't even care about stage times. I'm just loving to drive it and even sometimes stop on the stage to look at certain things or landscapes, because the stages are really wel done.
