Happy 10th birthday to SRO! (only a day late) Many thanks to Mark and Nigel and all the admins for their hard work keeping this place running. Not too mention the expenses incurred giving us this entertainment. I think I've raced more races here then at any other group I've raced with over the years. It's been a blast!
10 years ago when R2P shut down I wasn't sure where I would go. I looked for a place to race but didn't see any leagues that interested me. So I set off to design a racing platform of my own. Once I developed the basic design I then needed to find a league that would be interested in what I had. That is when I met Nigel. He had a small club with a handful of members, a lot of whom were R2P refugees. I demonstrated the new system and he took a chance and invited me to begin the journey. We have invested hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars in SRO. Along with owners Ken, Rob and John and many of our dedicated members, we have built the community that we have today. Most of you don't know the other half of SRO. It's a complete system from planning a series, creating the events, registering users and processing results. All custom built and maintained by us five owners. Cheers to Nigel who created SRO and is the major financier of our community. And to Ken for his many years of hosting series and Rob for his hosting and broadcasting excellence. And John, who worked with me from the beginning to test the software and for building unique and challenging series. Cheers to SRO and best wishes for the next 10 years!
