Mostly lighting fixes by the look of it, but I'll check it out and see if it's worth substituting for the default track in this series. Thanks Neil.
yes, its the jump version. what a blast with that track with bumbs and everything on these cars. really have to know where your tires go and if its ok to press gas. managed 1.33.6 if remember right on little quick test session. Will be working on this sunday so race is a no go but here is the setup i used ( site's setup sharing is not working ).
I've changed the track to the League Friendly Version, primarily as it avoids the potential problem with flying haybales at the chicane. Make sure to download/install from Steam. I have also updated the link on the race page. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3441899306
shouldnt we race 45 min here as it's published on the flyer ...?! probably enough for this torture and higher finish rate than 1 hours ..
The series banner was incorrect and has now been amended to 60 mins, which was always the intention for this series. This particular track was selected for its unique challenges, where speed is not the only solution
I have apologies to make!! Somehow managed to get ahead of @Ken Jagger coming out of the hairpin because he missed the apex but I wasn't able to keep it tight enough on the turn before the tunnel and he got a run going into the tunnel. No way I was going 2 wide through there especially being on the outside. But somehow I span on the exit of the tunnel, something I never did in practice! I don't know whether I spun up the rears but nevertheless I was heading to the scenery on the right colliding with a lampost. Whilst doing cartwheels in the air I unfortunately landed in the path of @Bjoern Hagemann who had nowhere to go!! (Sorry No. 1) Looked like he vaulted the fence and ended up in the harbour I was somehow back on my wheel but with bent steering so I wobbled my way down the hill and through the chicane trying to keep to the left. @Edward Jones was approaching and chose to pass on the left. I think I must have activated an alternate brake button on my wheel so I slowed a bit (I need to recheck my mappings). Ed had already commited to the left but there wasn't space and the harbour bollard flipped him into the drink (Sorry No. 2). I need to go lie down now!!!
We all have bad days at the office Neil and this was one of those infrequent ones, at least for you , which had the unfortunate results you have identified. Wrong place, wrong time sadly.
..we tried to geht Björn back in the race after the crash but no sucsess.. thought it works by cutting internet connection.. @Neil: how do you achieve it..? restarting rfactor2..?
Un Unfortunately I think heading into the harbour is an instant DNF because your car has gone out of track bounds. Personally I think there should be invisible walls to prevent people going into the harbour, I will post that suggestion in the track modders thread.
It was my own fault. Not sure why I thought I could fit on the left there. Poor driving on my part. On the other hand this is the first time I've ever made it into the water!
