Here is a look at my Broadcast testing for AMS2! Although AMS2 has the Broadcast /Director feature from PC 1 & 2 we have found it to be less than ideal, It suffers from massive lag and low FPS Soooooo the answer is to do it old school AC style where the broadcaster enters as a driver and simply parks it then using the MONITOR option to watch the other cars. the downside is we have the UI controls sitting up at the top of the screen with all the view options, my fix was to build a top banner to hide the menu .. This vid is a Test of how that banner will work & me testing out the new cam keys, (they finally mapped the cam views to some keys so you don't need to mouse everything while broadcasting) So I'm testing that while joining a random server ..with some commentator (bad) driving as well .. This is just an un-edited Test not meant for sharing but I wanted you guys to check out how the AMS2 live broadcasts might look! (don't mind the extra long intro, i was searching for a server, you can FF to the action if you want ..)
That is a fun track, Thanks. Is there any timing to look at like for RF2 ? I only did a handful of laps and was curious if I am like 3 seconds or so off the pace. I know we have a long time until the next race, so no worries.
Sadly no timing ..well except for what you posted, so far the 1:07 is the quickest lol .. (the round 3 thread will be up by tomorrow & perhaps we can start posting times in their) Our server does keep track of the practice sessions that I will have a look at & maybe we can copy & paste from that.
You can go to the time trial feature and select the car and track, this will give you all of the world record times. For reference Romans times will probably be right there with the best. You may also select a ghost car and use it's set up.
Summer STEAM sale is now on! you can pick up AMS2 for 90% off (around 3 bucks) & all DLC is also on sale!
Just some practice times on Brands Hatch with the BMW. Great we car that can be a handfull on this track
BuzzedBoba just did new benchmark for bmw and ghost to follow. and setup ofc but not much to setup in these cars.
When I broke the first wheel that was given to me as a hand me down, I bought a brand new G29 and broke it with less than 200 hours on it, so I went back to the one that died yesterday morning. Hell that's how my brother even got me started Sim Racing as a reward for helping him with his real race cars. He gave me a crappy old PC that would barely run rf2 with every setting at minimum and a TMX wheel and pedal set and ever since I get his or my friend's freebies. I could go on and on, but to summarize. I love rF2 and AMS2, I love the community and I've been following racing since I was a little kid. I'm 57 now and glad I've finally started doing some racing of my own. I did race MX as a teenager and that was fun but also brutal. I'll shut up for now, lol. I said all that so I could show you what broke yesterday and forced me to I start racing with the equipment that had been sitting in boxes right next to me. Also a pic of my Bro's race car. Oh and man the Fanatec is a workout compared to the old Logitec G29. Here is what I have now: and this is my big brother's race car: Today's AMS2 race was the fun. Thanks for hosting fun series for us to enjoy
How did you break your G29 wheel? I am curious because even though I replaced the peddals, the wheel is still ok after roughly ten years in use. Maybe there is something I need to avoid at all cost I would agree, racing was good. I tried to stay with Toni and Roman, but in the end I was not able to. Nevertheless, good fun to drive these cars. So my best pass was in quali, sorry Stephen if that disturbed you, but I could not help myself.
