Registration With the game still in Early Access, the car classes have not yet been defined, so we don't have a lot of bop in the game yet. This means the GT3 Sprint isn't really a GT3 sprint. We only have one true GT3 class car: the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. We have the Porsche GT3 Cup, but it's the Cup car, and it's no challenge for the mighty BMW. So what we have been doing on our test server (open 24/7= SimRacingOnline) is comparing the few actual Race Cars, trying to find which cars can compete with each other while we're still in EA. What we have come up with is the BMW M4 GT3 vrs the Maserati GT2. After testing on multiple tracks, these two powerhouse cars are quite even in lap times, within .xxx of each other..
Let's see some times from the server! My best in the BMW so far is 1:29.754 My Maserati time is 1:29.535 This with default setups at Red Bull Ring after 5 laps .. Servers up with this combo so give it a go and report your times!
I had a 1:30.9 in the BMW. I was a second faster in the Maserati but it seemed like it needed a lot more work to get there.
I think for this race I will set up my 1920/1080 monitor, it runs better for me at that setting. My time with no setup BMW 1:37.197 after 3 laps.
This Test series is officially closed The public server will remain up for open server racing, with other events coming on SimGrid. We will revisit AC EVO as new builds come out during this early access period! Thanks to everyone who took part in this early action testing!
Ah, that's unfortunate. I've been practicing with the BMW M4 for several hours for this race. I ended up around 2:07... I hope we'll meet in the next championship. Have a nice evening!
I did a lot of practice as well. We just don't have the drivers here at SRO .. But...There is no lack of ACE drivers on our server & I have had some awesome racing in the open lobby ..I have also seen the crazy things that can happen in open lobbys but for the most part my experience has been positive! I haven't had to kick anyone but I have read the rules to a few.. The track has changed to MONZA using the BMW, Maserati , AMC Merc GT2 & the lambo New race every 35 min .. taken at 20:05 gmt Oh, ..... you never know when I will fire up the pub server live stream
