Sorry Ken for touching you in the beginning but it was not my fault. Someone behind me just dived like crazy into my right side and i stood steel but couldnt avoid hitting you. Then latter i waited for you cause we were on same pace and it was fun. Grats to winner and all that finished
Hard to believe I started this series with 2 straight top 5's then I stunk all the other rounds. It was fun though. Thanks for hosting SRO
What a race!!! I had spiking brake in practice and little in Q and wasnt sure about setup. Then in warmup got all cleared and car felt great. My starting position was bad though. Ok start but someone in front of me had bad so lost some there and from that point forward it was fight fight fight which is hard but very rewarding on these car if dont want to be too agressive with contacts. Have to play around, give pressure see what works. Eventually caught with Kostas and spend most of the race trying to get pass. few laps i noticed im much faster going into fast chicanes but didnt dare to go 2-wide but then few laps later i just launched my car there and we came out clean without contact. Had a big smile on my face! Finally got past with the trick he taught me himself while defending in T1. Kostas took many times outside line and beat me with speed there so gave it back to him. Tyvm Race wasnt over, Phillip had caught with us and could not shake him off. He made his move on final corner but with little too much speed so barely got out of there before him and took 2nd. Well done race winner! Race pace was great and what a race to finish this off! Thank you everyone!
Thanks for hosting such a great series Ken really enjoyed these cars, such a blast to drive. JFYI LMU event about to start qualy in 15 mins, in case some of you guys forgot
I didnt run every race cause i only discover this too late but even so, i like to give my opinion about it. Lovely car and lovely tracks. So bad it got to an end. We should repeat it but this time, every sunday!!! Thank you for this.
That was me I guess. I would agree that this was not your fault because when it is three wide and you are in the middle, there is nothing you can do when you are squeezed from both sides. But I had such an overspeed to the cars that were affected to the collision happened in the turn before, it felt right to go for the open gap on the right instead of slamming the brakes. Still I am sorry for the consequences of those affected, even though I would say this is the kind of things that happend at race starts. But in the end it is not on me to give a final verdict on that. That als also me, I guess I missed the horn a bit and was basically last into turn one. Made my race way harder than needed. The plan was to park it onto the apex but yeah, did not work this time, against Barrett it did. I would have liked to join your awesome battle earlier but I lost time agianst Robin. He repassed me with a hell of a dive bomb. I saw something flashing in my mirror and opened up my steering, otherwise we might up ended but into the tyres. And actually I thought he would end up there - but he barely made it - respect to that. After I sort of forced him into a mistake (also turn four) I tried to push and see what is possible. To my surprise I could close down the gap, although it was not that surprising anymore when I saw how hard you two battled. And after you uncorked the bottle with a fine move I was lucky to fllow through. Well done! Great cars, great series.
I consider the contact with Nuno was a racing incident, less so the hit I got from behind going into turn 2. Ended up with a fair and competitive race with both Nuno and Jo for many laps, which is what its all about anyway.
That wasn't a dive bomb mate, that was me fully out of control, I completely out braked myself, I thought it was going to be mine and your race over, god knows how I made it through. Just another messy race from me, I spun somebody around at the the start (not sure who it was) apologies though. Tried to keep Philipp behind but he forced me into the mistake, out braked myself. Sorry for the contact. I had some damage after that, but then had a nice fight with Barrett, and again I made the same mistake and almost took Barrett out the race, hopefully I didn't cause anyone any damage. Great cars and another fun series. Thanks Ken for hosting.
