    LONGFORD 1967

    The Longford Circuit was a temporary motor racing course laid out on public roads at Longford, 23-kilometre (14 mi) south-west of Launceston in Tasmania, Australia. It was located on the northern edges of the town and its 7.242 km (4.500 mi) lap passed under a railway line viaduct, crossed the South Esk River via the wooden Kings Bridge, turned hard right at the doorstep of the Longford Hotel, passed over the railway line using a level crossing and traversed the South Esk again via another wooden structure, the Long Bridge.

    The circuit was in use from 1953 to 1968.

    THE SERVER HAS BEEN UPDATED TO V0.75

    Change Notes:

    V 0.75

    A new test car has been added: the Lotus 49.
    This car uses a new tire set with the lowest available grip, intended for comparison

    Bob Anderson now uses Firestone tires

    A new car has also been added: Dave Charlton in the Brabham BT11 Climax

    *****************************************************************************************

    V 0.7

    UPDATE NOTES

    Engine damage is now active
    You can now blow your engine if you over-rev it.
    Keep an eye on your RPM, especially on downshifts. If you push it too far or too long, the engine will fail.

    RPM Limits (do not exceed)
    These are critical thresholds. Go beyond them and you risk killing the engine:

    * BRM P83: 10000 RPM
    * Cooper T86: 9400 RPM
    * Brabham BT24: 8100 RPM
    * Brabham BT11: 9400 RPM
    * Ferrari 312: 9800 RPM
    * McLaren M5A: 9600 RPM
    * Eagle T1G: 10200 RPM
    * Honda RA300: 10100 RPM
    * Lotus 49: 9400 RPM

    Brakes toned down slightly
    Brake performance has been reduced a bit across all cars. You can’t just throw the anchor out anymore - braking now requires more precision and timing.

    Brake bias adjusted
    Brake balance has been revised for all cars to improve overall feel and make braking behavior more authentic.

    New drivers added

    * Chris Irwin added to the BRM
    * Bruce McLaren added to the McLaren M5A

    Test car added
    A test vehicle has been included using an alternative tire with reduced grip.
    This is meant for comparison, so you can directly feel the difference in tire behavior.

    Please let me know which tire you prefer.
