It was hard and tough specially when lost rear tyres. Half a race was like slight rain and end was on ice Still made some gearing errors but getting better. Just cant drive consistent laps because of that.
another shocking start from me put me on the back foot in 5th, by the time I was back into 3rd the front two had pulled a gap, good hard racing with Toni, I could see he had problems keeping the rear in check but you need a decent pace advantage to pass in these cars, just being a tenth or two quicker is not enough. Tried to capitalise on some of his tail happy moments but Toni put in a good defensive drive and it was only the last braking zone on the lap last lap that the pressure was too much and managed to slip through into 2nd. Gotta hand it to Gaetan tho, class of the field with his pace in this race.
Thanks @Nick Westy for the nice comment and congrats to you and @Toni Talvitie because I really had to throw the car around for the pole position in qualifying. For the race, I think I managed to preserve my tyres more. Following what I saw in practice any slide would penalize for the rest of the race. So I just tried to be easy even if it meant slower and be gentle in any entry. I also worked a lot on the setup to find something that would not damage the tyres too much.
What a race it was ! I had a good quali, my best lap ever by 0.4s. Then during the race, i knew it was gonna be difficult because of tire management, and we have a full race battle between @Lars Hagemann and @Julien Paus. I lost the war, but the battle was fair and intense. Thanks guys and see you next race.
