Tough track and for this mod I really needed time to get used to it. But even at this very special track. In the end I would have finished where I started (after a hard fight) but with that what happened to Paul it was second. How that fight was, have a look. Quite remarkable that Ken, Ed and I did the same mistake at the same place in the sequence of several laps. Ken lost probably the fewest amount of time, Ed found very fast the reverse, and mine looked at same point planned to end up in the right direction on the scape road. After that Ken was some kind of a road block I evaluated where was the best place to pass him, at three places it did not work, at the fourth I was able to do it. That was the spot where I had the most advantage over Ken. I think he was slightly better in the middle sector, but because you could not overtake there, I was not that determined to risk it. I rather tried to save my tyres, although I knew the move had to be clean and without to much risk. Then Ed behind me was waiting for a mistake. Fortunately that did not happen, good job guys, thanks for the battle. Congrats to Manuel, we had nothing on him today.
Qualification Not much practice done so I was happy with 2nd Race Got a good start and tried to keep up with Manuel but he was clearly faster than me. Too many mistakes sums up my race. By half distance my steering was bent and my tyres were shredded. Decided to pit but then made my big mistake going off into the crowd. This damaged my suspension. Pitted but I'd had enough. My upper back was killing me not because of the accident just an old git. I really need to get a new body. I wonder if Amazon sell them Well done Manuel for the win here and the title. I really like this Clio Mod. After 2 races, the championship was pretty close with Paul. Round 2 at Mills Metro Outer C was incredibly close. Less than 1 second at the end of a 45 min race and our best laps separated by half a tenth. Such a good race. Unfortunately he missed some races and couldn't fight for the championship. After so many races, it's rare to race on a unknown track but the choice of Lienz GP was spot on. Amazing track. Uphill, Downhill, slow corners, (very) fast corners, 2 types of road, it has it all. Thanks for running this series.
