A disappointment to go out so early, especially when I felt happy with the car and confident of a podium finish. I came to grief over the brow on the final run to the final corner, not realising that some of the "posts" were actually harder than others :). Not that I was pushing the boundaries of the track by any means, but probably due to a lack of concentration more than anything else.
I was therefore pretty lucky to hold onto 3rd in the Championship when Ramon also DNF. Three finishers in total, proves what a tough track this is to remain in the groove to the end.

Grats to Paul on his latest Drivers Championship, and to our team Bad Voices Racing on scooping the Team Championship win to go with it.

Congrats to Paul, championship was settled when Jim got a DQ in the first or second lap.

I was confident and could had finished 3rd and got 3rd in the championship, but running completely alone in this track is a little bit like taking a flight and cruising the ocean, so... I was just driving in autopilot mode when I slightly touched one of those "posts" (not the ethereal ones but the concrete ones ;)) and my car just imploded (or exploded, or I don't know, it just gets completely destroyed). So game over for me. Sad to end the championship like that, I was starting to like the mod lately.

All hopes put now in the BMW.

    Qualifications
Good lap to get pole :)

    Race
A slow start meant I dropped behind Jim and just held onto 2nd going into T1. Jim ran wide out of the town section and I got into the lead. By the end of the first lap I had a healthy lead. Then I saw a message that Jim had dropped out of the race. I was anticipating a close duel with Jim so it was sad to see him go out so soon. Now I had a choice. I'd done a load of practice and had got a setup that could do 8 to 10 laps so a 1 stop was doable but did I need to take the risk. By midway I had a pit stop lead so there wasn't much point in risking it but I went for it anyway. I was surprised to get to 10 laps without going into the red but I had dropped my pace by about a second compared to those I'd done in practice so that fingers. Pitted on lap 11. Did a good stop and back out with over a minutes lead. Didn't realise until late on the carnage that had befallen so many. Only 3 of us remained on the battlefield.

Well done to Edward and Jorge :)
    Commiserations to everyone else :(

Well done to Jim for 2nd in the series and Ken who came 3rd
Well done to my team mates Ken and Edward in helping to secure the team title for BVR :)

Thanks Ken for running the series. Please dig a big hole and bury these cars. ;)

You know what, like Ramon I was starting to like this mod by the final race, so I might just put it on ice for a while rather than bury it :D.
