Is this a race where cars and skins are all pre assigned? If so once again I will remove my name from the race :(

I've had some scotch to calm down...
Qualy I watched Tim for half a lap and noticed the there was to rev out that engine, but found out too late figured eh 2nd will do.

Race...I can never get this car off the line properly, dropped the clutch bad start get to T3 and try to avoid a collision as I was coming in hot and get passed by the field as I go off track. Slowly I make my way up to 4th and see that Tim spun it, here comes my chance! Hard to pass here, I was trying to get passed the man in 2nd but decided to take my time as there is plenty of race ahead. Tim comes up behind me as I try to go for 2nd and takes both of us! Still a lot of race to go......so I'm back in 4th getting closer and closer trying to see where will be a good place and BAM! Stupid Rift S cuts out because the stupid controller cuts out and that cuts all VR...

Oh man, I had the same thing, luckily I was practicing then.. Unbelievable it just gets you out of the game, especially when you are not even using the controller. I did not find a way to turn this off .. let me know if you do ! Really sucks.

So I've been on a messing around to get this working, and there is a way...if you have an xbox controller ;)

So I unpaired the single touch controller that I had attached in Oculus "home" or whatever it is called and I just plugged in the XBOX controller that came with the 1st Rift with a wire to my PC. I paired that instead. Now when I put the headset on it complains about not having touch controllers, but when you go in game it just works!

Haha, I do have an xbox controller but I also do play VR titles with the touch controllers and this sounds like a lot of hassle to do every time you go racing. I was hoping for a config change that was permanent or so .. Thanks anyway :)

I got my first AC podium through consistency, rather than speed, but whatever :).
I did a 20 lap ran an hour before the race, and that helped me to not make any mistakes in the race. Noticed in chat talk about the rev limiter, so set it to 105 before the start without trying it. I think it got me a second a lap. Maybe if I set it to more than 105 I could have got more time, but maybe I would have blown the engine :).
First race with crew chief as well (thanks Jos for that, I picked that up watching your youtube video), and it really feels immersive. I don't think I looked at anything on UI the whole race, just concentrated on the track, while chief was letting me know of lap times and incidents.
Grats Tim and Laurent for the podium.

Rev limiter on 105 .. humm, not sure where it would have helped me.

Qualified P3. I also got badly off the line, just like Alex, but I was on the inside. After Tim spun I had a good gap to P2. Tim was coming back at me but I lost it in T6 when he hadn't closed the gap completely. I must have gone in too fast in the rear came round. I lost 3 places because of it. Phil spun in front so I was in P3. Then Maxime spun at T6 as well. I somehow lost confidence in the car due to incident and started being more cautious and my pace really dropped a lot. Like Tim said in chat after the race, the car is more predictable when going fast. Each lap I was going way too cautious into T6 as well. Dropping 0.5 secs in a single turn. Maxime came back up on me and went for the inside of T6. I did not try to defend as I thought that was not a spot to overtake, he then almost parked his car in the turn in front of me. Later that lap he went straight into the gravel .. what happened there Maxime ? Disconnect ? The last 10 minutes I picked up my pace again and I was much more confident, I was evne 0.5 seconds down on my best race lap but made a mistake.. Too bad, I should have pushed all along really.

Congrats to Syd with P3. Congrats to Tim with the championship and Maxime with P3. I wish there were more entries for this one. It's a fun car to race.

Grats to Tim, Laurent & Maxime on their Championship podiums, I'm just sorry I had to miss the final two rounds with these fun cars.

And as ever, many thanks to all those who ran in the series and especially those of you who ran at the majority of the races.

It's not a very good place to overtake indeed. Firstly I wasn't even actually planning to, just I was very close to you and with a better acceleration from the previous corner exit so that I went left to see how the things would go, but planning to be very cautious not to punt you out in a stupid move. Then I realised that I had reached your high at the turn momentum so I thought I could eventually catch you thanks to the apex in an audacious but clean move. That's what my replay analysis shows imo so I'm a bit worried if it's not your opinion.
What happened then ? I just had pushed hard first half of the race to compensate a quite bad concentration (bad recipe though) and 2nd half to try catch you back, this track doesn't let the driver any rest and with the adrenaline in addition, my heart bpm had reached a too high level so that I started to feel badly. I was forced to stop everything to try to lower it. o_O

Congrats to Tim and you for championship ranks. Thank you Ken for this series, it was a very nice car !

Hi @Syd Drake. Thanks for watching the videos and glad you picked up the Crew Chief (great app). Well done on your race and consistency. That's generally my advantage but I failed drastically in this race.

Thanks also to @Ken Jagger for setting up the championship and congrats to the podium. Well done all.
