Race Day PW set on the champ page With Gymer only 2 points back the series 2 championship is still up for grabs! & the podium battle is tight as well! On the Team side, Team Shark has a solid hold on the 'series 2 team championship' after chewing up the field race after race, leaving T-Rex some -85 points back but still 10 ahead of Team Turkey...., it does however look like there is a battle for 3rd with GREEN Momba trailing 3rd by some 15 points & 2nd by 25.. This final round could be interesting GLA see you on track!
Thanks guys, not much to say other than sorry for that early cut across into the chicane, my driving was just terrible today. Congrats JR and podium. Simon not sure why you let me by, in any case, you got it back and pulled away. Looking forward to the next season, perhaps in the Lambo...need to switch something up.
After being stunned at qualifying 3rd with Simon and Alex behind i knew it was never my real race pace and knew i would falling back. Maybe i did choose the right race to finally see if i could get the tyres to the end. The first 30mins of the race was pretty intense, its pretty much a a single line track so anyone trying to pass will just end up in you falling back even more. However it was always down to my mistakes if anything! I really struggled out of the two slowest corners, my only advantage seemed to be down the main straight helping to stay infront. I was just clinging on to Mark and Taner but Mark falling off in the 2nd to last corner and rejoining just compromised me so much i dropped to far back. Finally losing the pressure both from in front and behind made me realise my tyres were pretty knackered, i just couldn't put the times in. The game seems to keep you on your toes on pit settings.... when looking when sat in the pits during practise it said 3.6sec...When i check in the race its saying 7.8secs! I also struggling in the exact car position as well.. oh well. Come out for the last 35 mins and thankfully the tyres have cooled a bit and i see Taner is quickly gaining, I'm having my own accident on my worn tyres so not sure the punt towards the barriers was entirely appropriate. But still a fun, stressful race where i was soaked in sweat at the end.
Was my first ever race with GT3 cars, i really didnt ever get evolved at my free time.. I did some practice at Friday without being sure if i would race on Saturday.. I tried all the cars for about 10 minutes each, to see what is suiting better to my driving style, so i couldnt see in depth what is better for me. Finally i stick with NSX because i am big Honda fan. I realized that i am a century behind the fast guys at least 3+ seconds on a lap at practice, quali and race pace.. Anyways, i started the race i lost a position to Mark Johnson and i tried to do my race.. But.. My cellphone ringed, i distracted and i spun.. Was an - a kind of - emergency call from my job.. I didnt answer and tried to concerntrate, i started to gain some time from the cars in front but.. the phone ringed again and i had to answer.. I pitted and unfortunately i had to quit.. Was not the race that i wanted to do, but at least at tried. GT3 is an another world, total difference with GT4, i need to learn a lot for being a bit competitive.. Even that, was a fun race as it lasts for me
The Honda is the worst car to pick if you have never driven the GT3's much! The rear has no grip, the tyres overheat..... Needs alot of work on the setup to get it driveable
Not my night last night, topped off a bad week of sim racing with my car running out of fuel at the last corner in gt4 and now here I lost out on 4th or 5th due to getting a stop and go when I pitted as for some reason my put limiter didn’t engage was given a 30 second stop and go penalty so I lost a lap Shame as car felt fairly good in race spec, especially sector 1 where I could brake very late and still fly through the chicane nicely. Nearly quit after the penalty as was so far behind everyone but had Simon for company so just kept pace with him for as long as I could until we caught backmarkers. Amazingly I still recovered two places before the race end to finish 7th.
Jeff and Mark thanks for your replies, actually both Aston and Mclaren are the 2 cars i dint try at all. I liked the GT4 Version of Aston, was an easy to drive car, of course i will give it a try for sure ☺
I just tried the Aston, the difference is huge, i did low 44 already at race pace with 80 liters of fuel and low 43 at quali mod and i am sure i have more to give.. So much difference..
